Pregabalin (Lyrica) Question.

Well, I've been prescribed Lyrica for quite a long time now, off and on for about 4-5 years anyways. Anyway, I was on 150mg BID, but due to this harsh benzodiazepine withdrawal, I got my doctor to up the dose to 300mg BID.

Now - I have been on 300mg BID before, so total of 600mg/day. And I have taken much more Lyrica than this at once also.

I am just wondering, would it be better to just dose the 600mg all at once to help me out a bit here? I just did that about 1/2 hr ago. I usually dose 300mg every 12 hours.

For safety reasons, I'd stick to what your doctor is prescribing you and if it isn't working then call him/her. If 300mg/12hours works, why take more unless you are trying to do other things, in which case, I'd say your probably ok, but, we are not professionals here, or at least I am not. I have taken Lyrica before myself and I know I took alot more than that and am still typing. But, I dont remember the dosage exactly. I remember it was like 10 red/white capsules and I think they were 75mg. But I was chasing something else besides pain relief.

it depends. are you trying to get high, or are you using it as a "medicine" for therapeutic reasons?

for therapy, it is best to have a constant level of lyrica in your blood stream rather than take 1 big dose.

I take Lyrica too both for rec as well as legitimate medical reasons.

600mg all at once is better for recreational use

300mg every 8-10 hours is best for medical use.

WOW 600mg!! yuck that would have me feeling to uncomfrtable, 75mg is my cut off, anything higher turns from euphoric to dysphoric
