Preferred Test Kit

Hi all,

So I'm looking to buy a test kit soon, and I'm just curious about what people's preferred kit is? I'm on a bit of a budget but if I get the idea that having a 'complete' kit is much smarter than just having a simple kit than I may be swayed, but if you can get by fine with just a simple one then yeah...
Anyways, lemme know what you all think.

Ty,

You can get by fine with just the Marquis reagent; everything else just adds ammo to your arsenal. The likelihood of running into a mixed pill that's MDMA high is rather low, and the rest of the reagents wouldn't help you much in that case anyway, since the MDMA reaction will mask the other reactions.

If you have a little bit more to spend, I'd go for the Marquis + Simons/Ropadope kit ("EZtest Xtreme" on their site), since you'll be able to positively identify MDA or an MDMA/MDA mixed pill (or any primary vs. secondary amine, for that matter).

^^^ What they said. Also, I'm moving this to Pill Testing Q&A, as it's better suited there.

Congrats on getting a kit - you will wonder how you lived without it. :) And, welcome to Bluelight!

It really depends on how you define "budget." Getting the standard package, meaning Mandelin/Marquis/Robadope/Simmons (as RGB said, 3 are often packaged and sold together), shouldn't cost you more than $100USD (and this is an upper-bound). I would definitely suggest this, given what current home-technology is available and what these four can infer when used together.

Though if you don't use all that often, I'd almost suggest spending the money to have your pills sent away to be lab-tested (here you'd just be short S&H plus the price of a pill each time, as well as a lab fee). Labs can actually give you much more quantitative information than home-testing would, both in terms of content and content levels.

Good to hear you're being smart and looking into testing, though. ALWAYS a good decision.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I went the middle road and bought the Xtreme kit (using the bluelight discount, tyvm).

Here's to happy rolling sometime soon! ^_^
