Heroin Prancing on China White - Is it Fent?

Hey Guys,

I live in San Francisco and stumbled upon a treat of the gods-- what is advertised as "China White" dope. Before this, I mostly used Oxycodone and when I'd itch for something festive, I'd score some shitty street tar or morph.

Anyway, I got it and it tasted super bitter to the the taste. It is an offwhite color-- and makes a slightly murky solution when water added but after 5 seconds of heat it clears up. A small shot and I was FLYING. It's great stuff, but when I read about it I hear most china white is actually fentanyl and not dope? I was just wondering how that changes things if I'm shooting, sniffing, or smoking Fent instead of H.... does it matter to me whether it's fentanyl or heroin? I mean, if it is fent (which I've never tried) it feels great and I have no complaints... I just dont know if Fent is more dangerous or if there is something I should know about using it. I was thinking that if it was fent, it probably wouldn't be so bitter because fent is in micrograms and probably has no taste, while the stuff I have has a strong bitter opiate taste.... I understand they might of masked the taste with some bitter substance though, but just a thought.

Yes, "China White" is usually a name given to fentanyl, and given that you're on the West Coast it seems pretty likely that the white powder you have is not heroin. Yes, it is especially dangerous. Fentanyl produces greater respiratory depression at equianalgesic doses than other opioids do, which means that you're more likely to stop breathing. There are analogues of fentanyl in which the respiratory depression is even more severe. You are also putting a lot of trust in the person who is cutting it, that they are cutting it to exactly the same concentration every time and that they are distributing the fentanyl absolutely evenly within each batch and within each bag. With a drug that has such a low margin of safety, and such high potency, this is life or death stuff. Fent is great, but I've had some lying around for about a year and haven't used it just because I am so shit-scared of it. This isn't hyperbole, check the BL Shrine and you'll notice that fentanyl is mentioned disconcertingly often. Be careful please- you can not afford to slip up with this stuff.

ive done good white-tan powder and ive done the fentanyl patches....
fentanyl is the dumbest thing ive ever done....highest ive ever been but by far the dumbest thing ive done...

He is obviously not a good dude that cares about you. He is your heroin/fentanyl dealer. I feel like it may not be fentanyl if you can taste it like that, because what you previously said about fentanyl doses being in mcg makes sense. Maybe its just some good dope man, and you got lucky, or were in the right place at the right time.

Yesterday i picked up from the same guy I always have and instead of the shitty, chunky ass brown he usually gives me he comes out with fat ass bags off this white to grey-white H that was fuckin bomb. Like i said, right place at the right time, cause he said he's not gonna have that stuff on deck at all times as it is hard to get.

Also its really hard for dealers to dose out fent correctly and to evenly distribute it through cut, as active dosages are so...SO small....

It could be good dope, or smartly cut fent, we really can't tell and substance IDs aren't allowed because we don't know and it is pointless and possibly dangerous to guess. If it is fent then the effects will likely be much shorter than you are used to due to a very short duration of action though. It would also be less euphoric than dope and slight changes in dosage could be disastrous.

As for proper preparation there is no need to cook your drugs regardless and that cloudiness that you heated to force into solution is the exact bad stuff that you want to keep out of solution (i.e. out of your lungs).
