A while back i made some hasj chocolate with black pepper in it and i became stoned like never before. This made me think, did the black pepper influence the high?

This article states that black pepper inhibits certain metabolic enzymes; Some of the metabolizing enzymes inhibited or induced by piperine include CYP1A1, CYP1B1, CYP1B2, CYP2E1, CYP3A4 etc. Most of the drugs metabolized by these enzymes will therefore be influenced by bioenhancer

and this article states that CYP3A4 is a signifant metabolic pathway for the metabolization of THC and CBD.
Clinical pharmacogenetic data further support CYP2C9 as a significant contributor to THC metabolism, and a pharmacokinetic interaction study using ketoconazole with oromucosal cannabis extract further supports CYP3A4 as a significant metabolic pathway for THC and CBD

If people have any more literature on it, please dump

It is very possible.... Many make edibles with kava or other active herbs to make a stronger edible. Look up oiluasca or something to find someone who tried to boast being able to trip by messing with enzymes, but honestly that is some advance stuff. The person may have had a good idea, but it seemed damn near impossible to accomplish regularly.
