I was just thinking this. Is there any potential for a chemical to be synthesised using salvia as a basis, that might have recreational or entheogenic effects?

Forgive me if I've missed something obvious.

Salvinorin B Ethoxymethyl Ether. There are other related compounds that have been planned for the market but haven't made it because the vendors went belly up. I'd love to try them (after others of course, heh). The salvinorin A experience is so radical that, in my opinion, related but different compounds represent the greatest probability for subjective experience utterly unique to the history of human consciousness. This fact alone justifies their manufacture and trials in my opinion. What else are we living for? (ok, we're living for other things, too, but experiencing that which can be suspected to fundamentally have never been experienced before is a pretty compelling reason to exist in my book).

The realization that salvia gave me was so unreal and unthinkable. I can't even imagine what ideas these hold lol.
