sounds like something a dealer around my house in arizona would make up to get an extra 10 bucks. sounds good though.

I have smoked pot of gold and it is top notch. Mine was incredibly resinous and dense, and it had a great balanced high. If you can get a hold of this stuff, it is definitely worth a try.
 
lol ill have to go with telgard on the count of almost 90% of the dealers here will try to bullshit with you and make something up , although it sounds good
 
Never heard of the strain. When I saw the thread I thought it was about Pot of Gold with Peter Jennings from maybe 8 years ago. He interviewed lots of growers and went to the Cannabis Cup. Anyone else ever see it?

If you don't understand what dapurpman posted, it's a description of the strain from a breeder. That means the strain exists and isn't something made up.
 
Yeah when I used to smoke the good stuff way back when, it always amused me when people would talk about how dealers just give weed names to jack up the price. As an experienced smoker, I would pay more for nameless weed that looked killer than weed with a fancy name.

While a dealer could call the strain he is carrying Pot of Gold even if it is just regs or beasters, I know many people who would take one look at the bag and know that they were getting fed BS.
 
Nug IS Nug, I always get certain strains but it dont make the price any different......Sorry to hear you have dealers like that....
 
Pot of Gold is a real strain. However, in my experience, unless the guy is your personal friend, dealers will generally just drop a name they know is known as being awesome, or they'll straight make some up just to get people to pay more or buy it more often.
 
^^ Depends how shady your dealers are really. Some do respect their customer(out of their own goods offcourse, so they would sell more) you know.
