I really like that part where there's that loop at the 3:17 mark..it's in another parts in the song..but i just mentioned that cause it was at that point when i was just listening and needed to make a reference so you understand wtf i am talking about.

I had this idea that in the beginning with the base line "melody"...i could sing "Nothing, seems to kill me.." you know, that one song. I forgot who did it and shit...but that melody in the right key with that baseline at the right speed...shit it sounds cool i think.

I noticed you seem to have a very middle eastern influence on a lot of your works...it's really fucking cool man.
 
Mostly samples for this song, yes. There is so much recorded music out there already, that you really can make entirely new music frombits and pieces of what already exists. I love making collages out of magazine clippings, and making songs with samples is a very similar process to me, except that I can edit the bits and pieces ad infinitum. So, I guess it is more like making collages using photoshop or something...I can "see" how parts fit together to make newness. I am glad you dig it...we're you saying that you had an idea for vocals over it? or a sample or something? feel free to lay it down and show me if you can. I would love to lay a sample of you singing all wasted or something on a track!
 
Found a great band through MySpace?

I've had the group Hurt on my friend's list for a few months now. They have a song called The Rapture,that once you hear it,it begs to be heard again. I'm sure I would have heard of them sooner or later,because I know they're gonna blow up,but MySpace is becoming a regular mecca for new band access. I don't see why it is a problem. I feel the music I have made is great and it is on a myspace page. I put as much work and effort into my music as anyone else does, possibly more since I do it entirely on my own. I don't understand why the fact that I reccomended my own page is not valid. The whole beauty of myspace, in terms of bands and their music, is the way in which you are able to network your music and put it onto a public platform from which new listeners can find you. By disuading folks from promoting their own myspace music pages, you are moving against the basic workings of myspace music. But, you can go on making up arbitrary rules for life and I hope you have lot of fun doing it.
