Hey Ya'll
I'm sorry I have to post about this
AFOAF got in a vial of Ketamine, and even though never using needles before decided to IM some.
After many injections, he ran outta fresh rigs and used one that he had used earlier. No one else has used it. He put the lighter underneith the needle and then whiped it off, put it into the vial and then into his right quad about half way between the hip and knee, and halfway between the right side and the top side.
Now, 5 days later, the area around it is completely numb. He can also feel near the top of the numb area a sore spot that sends a weird shooting feeling through the numbed area when pressure is applied.
What could have been the issue?
He continued to use the vial another 30 times or so with fresh rigs and had no other problems. Could he have hit a nerve with the needle? Or might there be a muscle infection? Or tetanus even?
