so I've been using Etizolam on the weekends just for comedowns after other drugs mainly, last week, between a bit of stimulant use a 2ci trip and a few bad days where i couldn't sleep and used benzos to help me i maybe took 1-5mg (depending) of etizolam 5 out of 7 days, and for the last 2 days since i stopped i've been feeling pretty crappy and today my chest is hurting/aching slightly and it feels kind of hard to breathe.

I have no actual desire to use benzos mentally and i'm not really having any trouble sleeping for the last 2 days since i stopped, is it possible that i am withdrawing ?

It's definitely possible. I recall once going on about week long day benzo binge of a whole mix of benzos and around day 4, I started to get hardcore w/d's. That example isn't exactly comparable, but I'm using it to demonstrate that even short term use of a benzo can cause w/d's depending on the benzo and the dose. I don't really know much about etizolam's properties in this respect.

Etizolam has a pretty short half life (between 3-6 hours) so it's not in your system anywhere near as long as something like diazepam, I am wondering now if I should take maybe 1 or 2mg to see if I feel better or if that would just make things worse in the long run.

Would seem a little surprising to me that you'd be going through withdrawal, but I suppose it's a possibility (although as I said, seems unlikely). Do you want to stop taking benzos though? If so I think you should go through with it even if it's a bit uncomfortable, you're not at all at risk for the dangerous benzo w/d symptoms. However if the pain is unbearable then yes I suggest you take a little bit more and taper down. Were you expecting to feel w/d though? In which case it may be somewhat psycho-somatic :)

I wouldn't think so but if you are worried about it it's better to slow down now. Bad benzo withdrawals can kill you.
