possible to induce weirder dreams?

i havent had a dream in a long time. i usally dream about twice a year i wish i had some more

usually if i smoke a nice fat spliff a couple hours before sleep, and then take a couple melatonin pills, my dreams are pretty weird.

Melatonin supplements definately increase the occurances of more vivid dreams for me. They are not neccesarily wierd or anything, but are definately more vivid.

would the nic. patch likely keep non-smokers awake?

Eating things before you go to bed doesn't make your dreams any different. There's been psycholoical studies that support that. Drugs on the other hand, I'm sure those would screw you up enough to dream.

You can have my dreams. They're so vivid and real I wake up mixing reality and dreams. I don't enjoy them at all.. :p

and when you read stuff in your dreams, it's not really words.. you don't read in your dreams :) You just seem to know what the little things say... at least so I've heard...

No, I've experienced otherwise.

Lately I've tried codeine and valium in moderate doses (150mg and 10mg respectively) and I have had strange, very realistic dreams afterwards. I have taken them at night and gone to sleep just as they are wearing off.

I can't find the relevant link right now, but I remember reading that a pacticular chemical thats found naturally in foods like potato eyes and cheese induces Lucid Dreaming.

From everything I've read being aware of/controlling the direction of your dreams is a knack that you can practice to become better at it.... So far I've been entirely unsuccessful however :(

I'd imagine so, judging by the way patches effect me (i'm a nicotine addict but I wouldn't wear 24 hr patches, they stimulate me way too much as it is) i've never slept on them myself, although one of my friends swore by them, he used to wear them at boarding school solely to induce weird dreams

i tried Calea Zacatechichi
without much result on my dreams
however, i have a tolerance with almost every drug i try
and since i slept quite well, which is not often (= has to be the calea), i suppose it would work with a higher dose
