RCs Possible mixup of methylone and ethcathinone

I have recently received an order, but am a little unsure if the right chems are in the right packet. The two substances are ethcathinone and methylone. I have used methylone in the past, but have never tried ethcath before.
But anyway, have just done allergy test, and when I tasted the methylone, it didn't seem to taste the same as what I remember (mind you, it has been a while since I've tasted it, as have been using 3-fa for the past year, so maybe have just become accustomed to the taste of that).
What is the appearance of the two (meth and ethcath) substances when compared side by side? Or comparison of the taste or smell?

Since I'm not terribly familiar with reagent tests, I was going to ask which actual type would I need, and what type of reaction would I need to see. But somebody on another forum explained the reagents a bit better, so all good. Mods can close this thread.
