Hello,
So after taking a little bit too much DPH (150mg) too get to sleep I got really bad restless legs. Knowing about DPHs anticholinergic I assumed that smoking cigs would help get more Acetylcholine(I will abberviate it as ATC) in my system. I know DPH works on the muscarine receptors, and nicotine with the nicotine ATC receptor. However Nicotine boosts ATC and activates the parasympathetic nervous system(PNS). So more ATC means less anticholinergic activity and can stop some of the PNS effects of DPH. Also nicotine increases K+(potassium channels) permeability, and I believe potassium to be a factor in the RLS that DPH can cause.
Anyway, I chain smoked a good 6 cigs and my RLS has gone away as well as a lot of the body load. The only thing that sucks about this is the dry mouth is made considerably worse, and I got kinda naseuous. Also I doubt this would work with large doses (above 150mg) because you just cant overpower the anticholinergic of that much diphen. Hope this helps anyone who's got the kicks from DPH.
Ohh and you might want to make sure you wont pass out with a lit cig and make sure its not a phantom cig, hahah.
