Depression is only temperory, any good audio books on positive thinking other than the secret?

I always suggest two books:
Joseph Campbell A Hero's Journey
Aldous Huxley Perennial Philosophy.

Campbell helps establish a kind of Awe within story's of history.
Huxley introduces a fair book that dives into perennial philosophy. Full of good quotes from leading religious thinkers.

It's most likely your brain health that's doing it. No amount of positive psychological changes will beat it, I kind of despise this position. If your depression IS circumstantial then it's not really a depression, a depression is physically and mentally disabling, coming from the brain, I guess in the context of this forum usually coming from brain damage through drug use. Only time fixes it and things known to increase neurological regeneration ie. antidepressants.

Antidepressants are neurotoxic. If depression is all chemical then explain to me monks. :)

is it just audio books you're interested in or other material too?

I suggest anything by Tara Brach or Pema Chodron. Not necessarily for "positive" thinking but for a different perspective on what we call negative thinking.

^^ Pema Chodron is amazing. I need to finish reading the books I have by her. I could really use some insight right now
