Population Control

I'm self-aware, except when I've taken so many heavy drugs that I'm nearly comatose or when I'm having a psychotic fit, and I still wouldn't have a problem with the policy. I don't intend to reproduce.
 
KyleOpium.. If you read my OP (not that you didn't or are even replying to me) then you'd see that I didn't advocate genocide or even murder of anyone alive today.. And if you take into consideration my ideas of legalising drugs with implementation of true education surrounding them then I believe that drug ab/users would be so much less of an issue than they are today (Can't be fucked to dig out what i think should happen or explain my why)..

Forcibly imposing the infertility of human beings, imo, is a must IF you don't want the eventual (and inevitable) murder, or even genocide, or people.. let alone the rest of the living world.

Although I am sympathising with OneThousandWords with his ideas.. ;)
 
I think the vasectomy is an amazing procedure that more men should take advantage of. It is something I am seriously considering. For the breeders among us - I would say it is HIGHLY unethical to have more than two children, i.e. the number that naturally replaces what will be lost when you and your partner die. At least then you won't be adding to the problem. The people who do add to the problem are selfish cunts and those people should be forcibly sterilised. Wait, is this the unpopular opinions thread?
 
First, we should ask who is having the most children and why? According to the 2010 US census, the birthrate for women making under $10k annually is around 98.3, nearly double the rate for women earning $35-49k. In the US at least, the super rich and median income earners aren't the ones pumping out several children. It's the poor and working class. Now, why is this? What does wealth have to do with the number of children people have?
 
Education = I'm pretty sure there's a well established link between birth-rates & education

I hate the way an animal is put down for as little as a broken leg while a human being has to live out its life even if it's completely paralyzed.
 
Its simple. All the smart couples that plan ahead, have the finances for it, and are able to take care of their kid providing a good life for them have one maybe two kids at the most. SOmetimes they dont have any.

Then you have dumb fucks out there, that cant support themselves let alone another life, pumping out kids like its a sport. THey have 5 or more idiots just like them that dont get educated, and end up sucking off the system too.

So you have the human population going thru the roof and the human gene pool getting muddled with dumb shits.
 
Watching "16 and Pregnant" should become a war crime. Knowing who Kim Kardashian is dating should be treated on an escalating scale of punishment, ultimately ending with sterilization, or walking the plank off a cargo ship and into the garbage gyre in the Pacific Ocean.

there are resources and capacity to feed and shelter the entire world's population. it is the corruption inherent in nationalism and capitalism which sees to people starving and dying of treatable disease and the planet being destroyed.
 
^^..For now. I highly question the sustainability of our current population with regards to current technology. We are destroying the planet at an unprecedented rate right now. Even with no corruption the Green Revolution from the 60s/70s is destroying much with the mass amounts of phosphates and nitrates getting into the water systems, and this is only a small piece of the pie.
 
proper allocation of resources, education and opportunity will resolve both issues. too bad capitalism and nationalism hold that back. blaming population for destruction is way misled.
