Hey guys, I am right on the verge of WD from opiates. I am in a situation where I have decided to dig up some old bottles that I had used to wash seeds, to drink that vile tea a while back. I have found a few bottles that I just left under my bed for quite some time. Now my question is, how safe is it to wash those seeds inside the bottle again and then drink it?

The seeds are old, can not remember exactly how long they have been inside the bottle and that should give a good indication of how long they have been sitting there lol. I had already washed them for use before. I need them for WD and I am making the tea right now, but sort of scared to drink it. Is it safe to drink? Can the seeds cause any sort of poison/ toxic mould or fungus? Obviously water has been left behind from the first time I washed them, because it is impossible to get all the water out as we all know....so is it safe to drink...???

Thanks BLe'rs.

Everywhere where there is moisture the molds will grow, it's up to your luck whether there has been enough growth/dangerous molds growing but it is never safe. Mold poisoning is no fun, so don't push it.

Have you smelled inside of these bottles yet? Man... When I make a tea and leave the bottle for even a day or two I open it and it releases an ungodly amount of gas (Almost took my eye out once with the lid firing off the bottle from pressure with a shotgun shells worth of poppy seeds behind it. I am honest, I got lucky!)
The smell that comes from one of these bottles is ungodly. Like an overflowing dumpster in mid june!

I would NEVER re-use these seeds, in fact, when I have to re-use a bottle is cleaned with several washes of hot water, peroxide, then vinegar before a final hot wash.

In the name of all things holy, do not even consider this!

Go buy/steal some more seeds if you have to. I am not pro-shoplifting, but when it comes to withdrawal and a multi-million dollar grocery store (or walmart) I say go for it. The walk to the store will help more than you could imagine anyway.

Best of luck, don't re-wash your seeds.
