Little history: all sorts of experience with many different opiates. Occasional opiate user only, once a month at the most. Prefer Oxy to any other.
Anyway, did a little research on Poppy Seed Tea, and tried to make my own; on multiple occasions. Sadly, I had no luck, not even the slightest buzz. It's hard to find opiates around here on a regular occasion, so I thought I'd try a homebrew.
First of all, here's the method I have used on 4 occasions:
1. Obtain poppy seeds
2. Funneled ~1-1.5lbs into an empty 2L bottle
3. Filled up with warm tap water, until the water was a bit above the seeds so I could slosh it around
4. Add a bit of lemon juice. Also tried grapefruit juice.
5. Shook it up vigorously, waited a bit, and strained.
6. Used a t-shirt to strain into a pitcher
7. Result was a yellowy/cloudy liquid, which tasted bitter and earthy. Not pleasant to drink.
8. Drank all liquid produced and waited. Waited....waited....darn nothing!
I have obtained seeds from numerous sources. Tried dark brown ones in individual 6oz packages from one organic food store (1.5lbs). Also tried from another organic food store, which were a mixture of a blueish/gray color. Lastly, tried some from a small Indian store, which were all white/tan - individually wrapped in
z packages.
I know pods seem to be a better source for producing tea.
Any friendly advice? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.
