I am simply not a fan of oral morphine and codeine. An injection of heroin is far more euphoric, without the side-effects. I dont think pod tea tastes that bad, and its very easy to make, it just doesnt provide the high or rush im looking for. If you have injected dilaudid, oxycontin, oxymorphine or heroin, you would know the true euphoria that opiods can create, beyond the buzz from pod tea.
All of the above are pretty short lasting highs, but IV methadone, lasts 24 hours, and can be very euphoric and will guarenteed to make you nod for many hours. You could also take methadone orally, since the bioavailability is so high, almost 80% of it is well absorbed and metabolized orally, and lasts even longer than IV. Despite claims of people saying methadone is not euphoric, this is largely a myth, methadone is a potent pure mu- agonist that provides a good long lasting high, the only time it stops becoming euphoric is when taken daily for a long period of time.
Levorphanol, when injected, provides a nice rush, an extremely euphoric high, and lasts easily 12 hours. If you dont like IVing, wearing a fentanyl patch lasts 3 days, and is much more euphoric than pod tea, with much less side-effects (fentanyl does not affect the histamine or kappa receptors, and morphine and codeine do, resembling an allergic reaction and can cause dysphoria).
So, pod tea is pretty down there on the list. It might be ok for opiate withdrawal, but the stimulating properties from the thebaine and the tea's kappa activity could likely accentuate the withdrawal. If you have a low tolerance, and you want an earthy sort of high, i guess it may suit a certain type of people, but i think most people would much prefer an oc80 to a cup of pod tea. If you like the effects of pod tea, why not just take some codeine T4's and some morphine tabs, which would produce a similar high, without the side-effects from the unwanted alkaloids such as thebaine, noscapine, papaverine etc.
