We carry death inside us, even in the womb. What is ironic and miraculous to me is that when we are aware of death and how swiftly we are moving towards it, that is when we feel most alive. The Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead, celebrated in November, is a one of the most beautiful celebrations of the way we are always in the two worlds.

thats so cool how those snails look like they are mourning around the death of the friend

that's the story i was thinking of when i saw them! although it was a mom and kid mourning the father getting crushed.

there were a bunch of them on the sidewalk after it rained. my friend moved them to safety in the grass
