I spent atleast 10 minutes in the hot florida afternoon sun chasing this butterfly this past weekend while I was staying at this fancy BnB that was a small botanical garden. I recognized the type and wanted a pic so bad but it wouldnt stay still and when it did its wings were usually closed except for when it would quickly stretch its wings out and fold them back again. Not to mention he kept landing on the bottom of banana leaves and shit so the sun was behind him. But this butterfly type was the inspiration for one of my Bass Butterfly Pin designs, so it was cool to see it in person.
