There are rich Black people in America too.
Yes, there are. Of course. There are rich Black people in America too.
Well, that was a POLICE TRAINED MOVE that has been used by MANY departments across the state. Matter of fact, SINCE Floyds deaths, it has been used another 250+ times and guess what, not a single person died. WATCH THE FULL VIDEO. NOT EDITED MEDIA CLIPS and it will show a VERY different picture. What difference does it make if he DID have 'hard drugs' in his body? If it was me instead of George Floyd that got killed, an autopsy would show 3 different controlled substances. Do I somehow become less important due to that? I'm a female and white, does THAT somehow make up for it? I don't understand how anyone can defend this cops actions, I watched that video and I was stunned to witness a man begging for his life while some douchebag sat with his knee digging into his back just looking around nonchalantly. Too many stories like this have been happening in America for far too long and cops keep getting away with straight up murder. Now that we have actually watched it happen on a video you still think they're in the right? There is no way that man is not going to prison.
Precisely, No bruising, No obvious obstructions, no trauma, NOTHING. It was a clear respiratory failure due to drugs. I have personally watched someone die on fent. Floyd only lasted a long as he did was because the mass about of adrenaline running in his body...but that quickly ended. This was far from murder.@Bella Figura
Of course he didn't deserve to die.
...
I haven't done a lot of reading about this case, but I just had a look at his autopsy report.
It says there was no sign of injury to his neck and that he died of a heart attack? I'm not a doctor. I don't know much about this stuff... but wouldn't there be some evidence if he died from lack of oxygen?

They pull in six figures where I live because they abuse the heck out of the overtime system, and they rarely have beyond a high school education. They should start by paying officers a shitload more than they do now.
So you're saying Chauvin was completely justified kneeling on Floyd, somewhere, that it caused him to be unable to breathe. And because he took fentanyl that makes it okay too? I don't get what you're trying to say. My emotional reaction is based on watching a man die that wouldn't have if the police hadn't done what they did. They're wrong no matter how you justify it.Well, that was a POLICE TRAINED MOVE that has been used by MANY departments across the state. Also, Notice how it started with "Knee on Neck"...and it went to "Knee on Neck and Back" and now its "Knee of back" hmmmmm. The EVIDENCE does not support your emotional case because you rushed to judgement over a few minute clip from someone's phone now knowing ANYTHING about the actual situation. The defense DESTROYED the prosecution witnesses' over and over because they are trying to paint a picture that just simply isn't true. WHY do you think they withheld releasing the entire video for so long? WHY do you think the DEFENSE had to find a half chewed pill in the back of the squad car that had Floyds DNA and Saliva on it THAT TESTED FOR FENTANYL.. meaning he was SOLD FENT.....and magically the prosecution didn't know even though its all on video and even more shocking the prosecution didn't DEMAND the PASSENGER who was the DRUG DEALER to testify in court???? WHAT?. LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE. Stop using emotion. This move Chauvin used is EXTREMELY common amongst Police, wrestlers in highschool, college etc... If his airway was so so chocked off, why was Floyd still talking on the ground. Grab your next right now to cut your air and see how many words you get out. Exactly.
You'll note I've gone very quiet since your post. And I owe you one i.e. it brought me to my senses yesterday. Not because I agree with what you said (about pushing too much the one way) but rather because I found myself wondering why the actual fuck I get involved with shit like this in the first place and expend so much time and energy on something that I have no control over and certainly cannot change. Not on this platform anyway. And, having put careful thought into this, not on any other platform such as this either for that matter. And the same with politics hence my silence over there too. Short of getting actively involved (and by that I don't mean joining some fucking activist group and burning the house down): walls and walls of text ain't going to change anything. And the sheer fucking irony: I have more reason than most here to be advocating for more lax policing. That said: it doesn't change the fact that I admire these brave men and woman and canines for who they are, what they do, what they stand for, and the dangers that they face on a daily basis (but you probably saw that statement in the post that I deleted yesterday) (although in spite of my deleting said post I stand by what I said both then and now on this score). As per my last statement yesterday (in said deleted post): life would be easier, but certainly not better, without them. Even for those that may find themselves at odds with them on occasion. There's a middle ground @dalpat077 I understand the frustrations since similar dynamics manifest itself in many topics, but I believe you feel the need to push too much the one way, understandable but unnecessaryit's somehow treading quite close to what you would accuse the other side of doing.
Congratulations. That is a first for me here. As difficult as that may be to believe it’s a true story. Been waiting for it to happen though. Always wondered what my reaction would be. Oddly enough: my only reaction is that I’m glad it was you!tldr
No I am not happy someone is dead. It is common sense that if you are firing a gun, or have a gun or weapon when the police are called or you look as though you are holding a gun or weapon, are in a gang, a violent criminal, or have a criminal record, and do not surrender or put down the weapon or gun fast enough that you will get shot and killed.i don't presume to know what he wished.
but, again, your point is made and you're happy somebody is dead.

I agree with all of this. I have posted the full video.Well, that was a POLICE TRAINED MOVE that has been used by MANY departments across the state. No. It is basic common knowledge that if you are on trial you do not testify.Does anyone think the jury will hold Chauvins refusal to testify against him? Even though they are legally obligated not to. In other words they will go against jury instructions ( and only those 12 will know they did it ) and base their verdict on their personal feelings instead of the law.
Full on riots of an acquittal I have no doubt. Guilty verdict and the cops MAY become even more trigger happy but with NO CCTV or sell phones in sight.Closing arguments are about to start in about 30 minutes.
What do you think the crowds that have been building around the courthouse and in fact around the nation will do once the verdict is handed down?
No. It is basic common knowledge that if you are on trial you do not testify.
I understand that most can't handle the cross and don't testify. The question is what do you think the jury is thinking. I think they are holding it against him. God help them if the Judge ever finds out that they did.Full on riots of an acquittal I have no doubt. I am truly thankful that I live in the sticks. Closest major city is 200 miles away ( Detroit ). sad state of affairs when riot is probably the only outcome regardless of the verdict.Acquittal: Riots in major cities
Hung Jury: Riots in major cities
Guilty: Riots in major cities
Riots are pretty much baked in at this point IMHO.
