the national guard troops in question were in town to help with the covid response. they are being housed in the marriot marquis hotel with whom the city has a contract. the guards in question were not deployed because of the protests and d.c. mayor muriel bowser stated that d.c. taxpayers wouldn't be paying their hotel bills.

That's not the point, but my fathers side grandparents are pretty successful businessmen. However my father is an addict, so what my grandparents made my father destroyed.
My point is, if someone of your relatives was enslaved 200 years ago, how does it affect you now? It doesn't. Slavery isn't to blame about situation of blacks today.

Interesting experience. Protest in our small little red neck community today.

So not 5mins after I got there, a truck was circling around looking as if it was smoking people out with its obviously shitty exhaust and clearly burning up oil. Like he was just circling around going slow and making it hard to breath, trying to agitate.

As he drove by I yelled “I love you!” And dude pulls over and jumps out heated ready to fight, yelling “who told me fuck you?” I immediately tell him Na man I said “I love you” in the most peaceful way possible.

This guy pretty much broke down into tears immediately ashamed he’d almost beat the shit out of me for saying I love you. We hugged and then he marched with us while we discussed our differences in a polite respectful manner.

Towards the end we both talked about how nasty that situation could’ve been simply because of a misunderstanding and he even admitted it was a wake up call for him to slow his roll a bit.

By the end I truly feel like I might of actually got through to someone. It was beautiful and reminded me the power of love and compassion.

Stay safe guys, watch out for each and most important show love to everyone knowing your fighting the good fight. In the end you can’t argue with that.

Cunt is a very British word and it does not mean this person hates women, is a misogynist, etc. I have met trans women who use the term tranny and call themselves and other trans people 'tranny'.

There was even a well known TV/CD bar and drag queen contest with 'tranny' in the name.

I agree about the word cunt though. Again it's a question of context, but in for example Australia, people say it all the time and it isn't nearly as severe a slur as it is in American English. In some contexts I'd argue it's not a slur whatsoever in Australian English.

It should and actually is:

All Lives Don't/Can't Matter Until Black Lives Matter, Too.

Or

Black Lives Matter, Too.

That's what it's meant to be read as. The Black Lives Matter movement sums it up accurately.

The whole point is it's already assumed all other lives matter, they feel (with good reason) like their lives don't matter equally in our society. So, it would make no sense for the slogan to be "All Lives Matter" from the current way society is and the systemic racial injustices therein.

You guys need to stop falling for the race bait and pay attention to what is going on in DC today. There is a lot of talk of a coup d'état happening today/tonight.

• Chatter was picked up on military channels regarding plans to remove Trump this weekend (it keeps being censored/spam flooded every time it's posted on any website)
• There are nationwide protests today including one in DC where they're expecting 1 million people to show up
• Protesters are demanding Trump and Pence step down
• Pennsylvania Ave was just renamed Black Lives Matter Plaza
• DC Mayor kicked out the National Guard troops from the hotel they were staying in last night
• Trump has cancelled all personal travel for today and is refusing to leave DC

There are some other things I probably forgot to mention. I advise everyone to watch what happens tonight/today. Lots of ways this could go. There is a very real chance Trump may be removed by force if the Air Force doesn't have his back. I've seen this type of thing play out in so many other countries that it wouldn't surprise me to see it happen here. Of course it could go the other way: Trump uses this as an excuse to declare martial law.

Between the virus and the unrest I'm not sure there will be an election this year. Even if there is one I'm not sure Trump will leave office willingly. I'm honestly surprised no one has taken a shot at him yet in the last three years. I thought he'd get assassinated within his first term or early in the second term. It's amazing no one has tried to do it yet with all the hate for him in the general population and the media. The media has been stoking the fire since the start. He's the first president in my life time that they refuse to call "Mr. President".

If I see something is threatening (or destroying) the life of my life, I want to put an end to it. I don't believe in multiculturalism, or multiracialism. I don't believe democracy and these things can coexist. And I don't believe in democracy, either. Especially not now.

We didn't hear much about the unarmed white Australian woman who was shot dead by a MN cop. Unlike Floyd she didn't have a criminal record so her life was more valuable yet no outcry.

In 2019, police shot and killed 9 unarmed black men - and police also killed 19 unarmed white men.

The rate of police shootings against blacks has declined 75%. The rate of police shootings of whites has flat-lined.
It could be argued that whites are more in jeopardy from the police than blacks.

A young black man is around 8x more likely to be a victim of a homicide than a young white man. The #1 cause of death (preventable or otherwise) for young black men is homicide, almost always killed by another young black man.

Last year there were roughly 7,000 black homicide victims - almost all of them were killed by other blacks. When it comes to interracial homicide (which is rare) last year and recent years averaged about 750 interracial black/white instances of homicide. 500 whites were killed by blacks - 250 blacks killed by whites. So blacks at 13% of the population are killing twice as many whites at 61% of the population.

It's not only that they can't think for themselves - but they also run away from facts.
They consider you a racist for telling the truth about the situation.

Also I was actually shocked to learn that the leading cause of death for young black males aged 15-45 is homicide by another black male. More than car accidents. I didn't believe it until I heard it from multiple sources.
For young white males it's car accidents.

So I was thinking.... the most successful demographic in the USA are Indian-Americans.
Their skin color is quite close to African-Americans.
So first of all that proves that the USA is not a white supremacist nation (I believe Asian-Americans are also above white people - this is per capita)
India is a poor country which also has an extensive history of slavery and colonial oppression.
So why are they so successful while many African-Americans blame the system for not being able to succeed?

If you say that they're failing because of white supremacy then you may be ideologically-possessed.
