Are Bluelighters doing meetups again??? Would love to go but I don't even live in the country. Hopefully this forum becomes more like it was in 2002. I wasn't around then but it looked cool as FUCK back then and way better than it is now.

I've met a few BLers in my time. All cool people. But as far as I know, big open meetups are kind of discouraged just due to potential issues, based on past actions from law enforcement.

I think it's just kind of a different world than it was 20 years ago. Lots of people are just really socially isolated, and uninterested in doing things outside of what they can view on TV, the computer, or their phone. The internet did a lot to allow connections between people, but it also made it a more comfortable place to only engage from a safe distance and not seek any kind of novel, real life experiences.
