I was inspired to write this after looking at a picture of Venice.

Lovers On A Foggy November Night

A rosey cheeked woman swelled her veins with wine
After a long day at work and obeying orders to survive
To bring brown paper bags and lettuce to the house
With no help with the door only screams to get out
But with a bottle of purple and a pink lingerie
That piece of masculinity will do anything you say
He'll stop ogling at porn and brush the kids teeth
As the nob starts to form and his inhibitions get weak
You feel important inside and muster up all your pride
As you swing your behind and smack your lips in the light
Globbered red lipstick and dark blue eyeshadow
Whatever happens tonight, hope you forget tomorrow
Cause when the sun's violent rays pierce through the blinds
And the doors to your' eyes soon begin to arise
He'll slither out of bed and piss away the night
And scurry off to work without a kiss or goodbye

But me and my love we laugh from a distance
Away from the city at a sea port in New Guinea
Actually it's Venice: the face paint of Italy
The city of festivities that's in every lover's dream
Where getting from here to there hardly costs
And they have canals for playing games and getting lost
So in "the Boot" we pause under a purple night sky
After a well-contented dinner of pasta, cheese, and wine
The palms of my hands were sleeping on her hip
As smoke billowed out from an incoming ship
Towering skyscapers admired us through the fog,
Hundreds of glimmering lightbulbs of warmth and love
The generously colored water effortlessly danced below
As if our feet were an audience for its spectacular show
From blue, pink, to white to green, it always changed
Reflecting the moon and the faith on my calm lover's face
