I have been writing different variations of this for about 3 years now... here is the most recent one (today at work
)
"Does it really matter if I cannot be that portrait of perfection that you want to see?
What you see as rebellious may be perfectly fine,
but you keep pushing me back across your preconceived lines.
You point out that others make stupid mistakes,
but aren’t they simply LIVING and not just taking up space?
You want me to be polished and proper and nice,
nothing short of perfection will ever suffice.
If it doesn’t harm us or make us loose heaven,
then why can’t I do it and just tryout living?
I won’t be that portrait of perfection that you wish to see,
I think I’ll try living… I’ll just be ME."
