do people actuly take this shit for recreational use?
ive done it before with some dirty pills by mistake.. if i had known id never have taken it..
i mean, when i did it.. there were more bad feelings than good.. it was kinda like a fever.. you may have some halucinations and feel warm, but who the fuck wants to have the flu@??@?@?
 
from what i've read, there's too many unwanted side effects and not nearly enough positives, and the risk of overdose is way too high for this to be good for recreation.
regardless, i'd like to try it at least once to see what its like.
 
I'm fairly convinced I've taken PMA on one occassion. I've taken over 50 individual drugs thousands of times and never had anything like I did this one time.
I got these two green unmarked "ecstasy" pills from a friend who didn't use himself and just got rid of them as soon as he got them.
Everyone else had taken one. I was the only one at this party to take two.
Within 15 minutes after ingesting them, I felt noticeably different and couldn't believe how fast they were kicking in. Within half an hour I was completely gone. I vaguely remember asking my friend what the hell he gave me. And I remember hallucinating incredibly hard, but not like I would have on any other psychedelic.
After that, I blacked out. I can only recall bits and pieces of the night. Apparently I was doing really weird things like washing dishes that weren't even there. It lasted about 6 hours then I can remember doing things, only it was like I wasn't in control. However, it was different from anytime I'd smoked PCP or used ketamine or DXM.
When I started coming to, I remember someone asking me if I wanted a massage, but I declined. The tactile sensations weren't really pronounced. Everyone else said they hadn't felt lovey dovey either. And they said it was similar to rolling, but different and strange and that none of them had really noticed many tactile sensations either.
Nobody else had an experience nearly as intense as mine.
The drug definantly had a noticeable stimulant effect. And the pupils were dilated.
If it was PMA, I don't neccessarily think I'd mind doing it again. But I'd want to be ready for it and take half the dose. It's pretty embarassing when people are still talking about your insane behavior 6 months later.

watch out when you take pma! I live in Belgium. I lost a mate on pma, some dude made some liquid pma here in belgium and 6 people died of it (really, i'm not kidding). It seems like a very dangerous drugs, please watch out when you take it!
 
The dangers of PMA has been overly dramatized by the media, and pisses me off how many drug users buy into it. Of course this drug is toxic, but so are alot of PEA psychedelics.

Well obviously there were lots of people who unintentionally took PMA who were okay. But the number of people who ended up in the emergency room or died after batches went around as ecstasy were high enough to warrant a lot of concern because even if only a small minority of users had serious problems the percentage was still much higher than with other recreational drugs.
Also, when PMA is sold as ecstasy, you have no idea of the dose you're taking.

negrogesic: everything about drugs is overdramatized and demonized about the media, period. the point is, kids who buy bunk pills that turn out to be mdma tend to think the pills are just weak and eat several more... taking a highly toxic chemical with very bad, sometimes fatal, side effects at a high, unknown dosage is very bad any way you look at it
