PMA chemist cooking for "personal use"

The fact that there are PMA pills in assie has nothing to do with this lone guy lmao If they booted the door and found 22l flasks and kg's of PMA this would have garnered a lot more attention.

Do you have evidence of that? No... you're speculating like the rest of us. Quiet down now

I can't believe you actually believe that lame ass excuse his defense attorney came up with though, he's obviously just trying to stay out of trouble. If I made MDMA and pressed it into pills I wouldn't keep a pill press around either, or anything else that could tie me to distribution, it's common sense.

Imports on pill pressing machines are closely monitored here these days I believe, not sure about the small ass ones tho. But medium and large sized ones are for sure, since they worked out loads were coming over here from places like China and never being seen again. There is however a big black market for the ones already here apparently.

Want to bet lol? The cheapest one I can find is $500, and that's a professional grade one. I know for a fact that you can get single punch, crank operated tablet presses for much cheaper than that as well...

Hell, you can order them straight off eBay

Your logic, or lack thereof, is pretty ridiculous. I dont follow what you are implying. And bullshit. Show me a "professional grade" pill press for $500. sure, a single punch can be had, they are on E Bay for $800, but that is worthless for production. And even if so, that is irrelevant. Doesn't matter if one can be purchased for $1. Just because they are obtainable does not a conspiracy to distribute as MDMA make. Gimme a fucking break. I can get a gun. I have bullets in my house. Should I be executed for murder? I can't follow your train of thought at all. Probably because there isn't one. As I see it a dude got popped for making PMA. That does not mean this dude is behind all of the PMA being distributed as MDMA. Read the articles. Sounds pretty small time.

Worthless for production? One of these pill presses can make 2400-3600 tablets in an hour. That's still a relatively small time operation, like you noted, but it can still lead to people dying.

and I'm not even saying that he WAS pressing pills. I'm saying that just because he wasn't caught with a pill press, that doesn't mean he wasn't a part of the operation.

I can't give sources, but there's $600 presses that ship out of Australia on eBay.

If he's guilty he deserves to go away, I just don't like how the article characterizes personal chemistry setups as "clandestined". People have a right to pursue knowledge as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

I worked a festival this past summer in harm reduction and two people took PMA thinking it was E, and they were rushed to the hospital. I didn't see the people directly but the on-site paramedics said the hyperthermia was crazy -- and the users themselves didn't even report being all that high from it. Just fucking boiling.

I just don't get why people go to the trouble to manufacture a deadly additive to cut their MDMA with or imposter it with, when they could just cut it with something else that is cheaper. I mean, if you're going to rip people off, you can at least do it safely? Unless the whole point is to kill people who take MDMA.

amanitdine,

What dosages of DMMDA have you taken? Also, could you elaborate a bit more about the nature of the DMMDA trip, possibly by writing up a trip report and posting it in TRs? Thanks.

In the cases that some people brought up in this thread, producing PMA with out it being introduced into the community around you and with some sensibility can and does actually happen (not all "clandestine" chemists are synthesizing these drugs for distribution). If they do so responsibly, even if they are unfortunately caught, they shouldn't be punished for their understanding and practical application of chemistry and the individual ingestion of a synthesized compound. If its being done recklessly and potentially dangerous to unaware innocent individuals, like with the manufacturing done by many methamphetamine cooks, then yes it becomes a problem that should be considered a problem.

I don't like some of the reactive effects resulting from the governments concern of 'bath salts' or 'spice' products, and do agree that selling drugs under a guise of a BS product without description of what and how much of it/them really are in them, shouldn't be tolerated. Reactive banning of the chemicals within them I don't agree with. Some of the products are known to have been used safely when properly identified/dosed and something for the government to consider; by mass banning products, it fuels the market with many more untested and unresearched products seen in the past half decade or more to make a bigger mess than they previously had. (brought this up since it is similar in a way to selling ecstasy tablets - no way of knowing whats in them or how much. A regulated distribution would prevent this.)

I wish we'd just start to regulate the current recreational drug market, allowing for small amounts to be legal for personal possession and consumption. Start with marijuana, as it is itching to become legal likely within in a decade all ready. No point fighting a battle already lost, waiting for bullet to finish it all when they could stop wasting billions of dollars and actually make some money by doing so.
