plugging med's up your butt..WHY

Why would anyone, want to put any med's up your your butt to get high. I don't get it. I would NEVER shove anything up my butt for a high,it's just STUPID. Just swallow it and be done with it . I'm 52 and i never heard anything so stupid before in my life time.

If i'm off base here i'm sorry.....I JUST DON'T GET IT
 
I have never done it personally but if you were familiar with bioavailability you would not have to ask this question.

The answer is, more of your drugs are absorbed this way than most other methods of administration, so if you wanted to make your supply last longer or get more high on a limited dose without shooting up then plugging is a pretty attractive option.
 
Dam, :).. i had to google Bioavailability. Never heard that word before :)... Still i like the old fashion way better.

When i read someone plugging med's, i laugh so hard i had tears in my eyes. i never heard of it before. Thanks for the info
 
we call it boofing in roc ny. thought of it as gross and gay but thats just a stigma, i dont think that anymore. and nothing wrong to be gay either. peace
 
I might be wrong, but I believe that plugging is the closest onset next in terms of ROA for most substances behind the needle itself. Maybe thats got something to do with it?

FWIW I am a heterosexual male, who TBH, was very hesitant to try rectal administration. I used a 10mL oral syringe 'lubed up' with water, and it really wasn't bad.
 
i was extremely against plugging because im a very heterosexual male, and i try and stay away from anything even remotely gay, but plugging is definately the best way to get the most out of your opiates besides iv'ing.

first off, it takes a lower dose to get you high due to bioavailability.

the onset is much much quicker, and even provides sort of a rush, which swallowing pills cant produce.

the effects generally last longer when plugged

and for me, the acetominophen in my percocets is a problem because due to my tolerance id have to take a large number of them, and having all that ace would murder my liver, but the acet. is poorly absorbed rectally, so i can take high doses without worrying about too much tylenol
 
I've never done it myself but there are a TON of capillaries up there and the drug gets absorbed pretty quickly and efficently.

I'd still preform a CWE if I were you man. It still can't be healthy putting that much Paracetamol in you, no matter what the ROA :\
 
Well say you have 100mg of morphine.. if you don't inject.. if you swallow it, you will actually be taking 30mg of the 100mg, whereas if you plug it, you will get 60mg's worth of morphine in your system...

i used to think like you untill i realised that with certain products, plugging is far preferable....
 
If i were given the choice between taking oxy intranasally or rectally, i would chose rectally. Not from the standpoint of the high but purely from the harm reduction standpoint. Drugs such as morphine are designed to be taken rectally in some instances. Theres not too many doctors out there recommending their patients to snort their drugs. That being said, eating opiates on an empty stomach gives the best high.
 
Some drugs get absorbed better by rectal administration, meaning you get more out of it. It also has a quicker onset than popping, right behind snorting. You also will avoid getting some nasty side effects like nausea/vomiting or heartburn.
