Hey earlier this morning I plugged 36mg concerta by cutting a hole in the pill and then just sticking it in which lasted about 6 hours and then I came down for a few hours and now I keep coming back up every few hours, and then crashing again. Does anyone know why this is?

I'd agree with tricomb, i believe most time release drugs rely on stomach acid to break down the time release mechanism, so plugging it probably made it take longer to release. Also from personal experience when i was prescribed concerta for my adhd and taking it orally I had a similar "rollercoaster" effect after the first couple hours and have read that they can take up to 18 hours(usually more like 12 though) to release all of it.

I try to stay away from all time release pills, uppers and downers, just because its much more of a hassle. As far as why we had the "rollercoaster" effect, I think its mainly due to drug companies trying too hard to make pills junkie proof that they end up not working correctly even when you're just using them therapeutically.

those pills are pretty difficult to break down. IME time release pills are best just taken orally, and I'm pretty sure they don't even work with other ROAs. In this case, the best ROA would be the toilet, MPH is a shitty, dirty stim, and taking it orally will do nothing but give you some uncomfortable stimulation and a plethora of side effects. The only ROA even remotely worthwhile is rectal, and since that's not possible, then you should ditch your trucker caffeine rather than even taking it orally.
