Hey guys, I know Im knew to this forum and this is my first post, but Ive lurked here a bit and could really use some advice/help from people with experience who are knowledgeable such as Guido.

To try and make a long story short, I had a hormonal imbalance during puberty that really fucked me up. Im currently 19, and after complaining about this for years, I finally found a doctor who would listen, but tests are still being run to determine the exact cause of the problem, though the doctor does agree that there is a problem causing a hormonal imbalance that needs to be fixed. Along with all of the usual symptoms of low-t, I also have some other problems due to the fact that this occurred during puberty: stunted height, stunted bone frame, wide hips and narrow shoulders, stunted penile growth, and stunted mandibular growth.

So, it appears as though, after years of fighting about this, it turns out that I was right. The issue is, how can this be corrected. I absolutely refuse to live my life as something lesser than I should have been. I would like advice on how this can be corrected to allow me to grow to my full potential. This has been a detriment to my life, and now I will be taking a gap year from a top 20 school to fix this (its affected my academics as well, obviously).

My personal theory would be to somehow re-sensitize my body's androgen receptors, then flood my system with testosterone and keep estrogen under control (probably also supplement with HCG). If my growth plates are still open, then HGH would have to be utilized as well. Does this sound like a good protocol to fix this? If so, what would people recommend as far as dosage goes? Also, would using tren ace allow me to further my growth to potentially reach the threshold that I should have been at, or would this be a mistake? Any advice on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated, as I feel that I cannot go on with life anymore until this is fixed and I have been able to fully grow/develop.

*As a reference, both labs taken over the course of 2 years came back at sub 300 ng/dl total t on a range of 300-1200, with free t being at the bottom of the range as well, and estradiol fluctuating a bit (from around 30 pg/ml to 80 i believe).

*If some measurements would help, my mom is 5 feet 7 inches, my dad is 5 feet 10.5 inches. I am 5 feet 9.5 inches. Also, my wrist measures about 6 inches in circumference, and my father's is 7, whilst his erect penis is 7x5, mine if 5-5.5x4.5-4.9 depending on erection strength (I have a tough time maintaining one, and never wake up with morning wood).

Unfortunately nothing you take is going to help you grow. All supplements I believe revolve around muscle growth and muscle endurance.

Welcome to BL Meyer. Sorry to hear about your problems. Can I ask a few questions...

Along with all of the usual symptoms of low-t, I also have some other problems due to the fact that this occurred during puberty: stunted height, stunted bone frame, wide hips and narrow shoulders, stunted penile growth, and stunted mandibular growth.

Is this your personal opinion, or did your doctor/specialist take measurements and say this?

From your stats, you don't really seem stunted to be honest. A 5" to 5.5" penis is generally accepted to be average length, unfortunately we don't just inherit one of our parent's characteristics precisely. Similarly for your height, it's really not outside of an expected range given your parent's height. Obviously this is not to dispute that you may have grown slightly taller or been better endowed without whatever hormonal issue you have, but to reassure you that it's really not as bad as it would seem to be making you feel.

As for growing either further, that's quite a big experiment to take without any guarantee of success. I'm afraid that adult penis length is usually achieved by around 5 years after the onset of puberty in most boys, and by 19 most growth plates have sealed except usually around the shoulder girdle. You could try taking testosterone with an aromatase inhibitor to prevent oestrogen conversion and elevate DHT levels, which may have an effect on growth and penis size, but this is certainly not guaranteed. As this is really more of a medical concern than of recreational steroid supplementation, have you discussed any of these issues with either a urologist or endocrinologist?

To the first question CFC, yes, this has all been confirmed via a geneticist and endo.

Also, I am currently in the process of dealing with the doctors, but I fear that the dose they give me won't suffice to kickstart my body into finishing puberty. I understand that these metrics may be within norm, but the doctors have confirmed my fears and said that I definitely was stunted in the area of growth and secondary sexual characteristics due to low t and high estrogen during puberty. I guess I was just looking for some advice as to whether my "theory" on how to correct this would work, or if someone else has any other suggestions. I'm also looking to find out if, assuming that my growth has been stunted, I take this protocol, will my growth be finished (not counting skeletol as Im aware that has to do with growth plates, and due to my high estrogen they may have already been sealed).

I understand what the dr is telling you, but its hard to think that a person is done growing at 19...since youre have all these problems its reasonable to think there some hope you might turn the corner

I agree Mike, but not naturally. The only hope I have is if I can artificially finish my growth. If you know that you had low testosterone during puberty, by definition you didn't naturally grow as you should have. Not to mention all the other problems I have (ED, tired all the time, been going to the gym for 2 years with minimal gains etc). Either way you slice it, sub 300 ng/dl total test for a 19 year old male who goes to the gym 5 days a week and eats pretty well is far from normal.

I agree with Mike, you should definitely stay optimistic. Obviously if you don't try you will never know, and trying for a period is unlikely to produce any serious long-term negatives.

Typically oxandrolone is prescribed for long-bone growth issues in children. However I was suggesting testosterone because it can convert to DHT, which is presumed to cause penile growth as well (which oxandrolone will have less effect upon).

Unfortunately we still don't understand all the science behind bone growth and maturation. It would appear that preventing oestrogen from elevating can inhibit plate maturation and epiphysical fusion and thus prolong growth, hence the use of an aromatase inhibitor (AI) would be essential.

Blood tests would also be very valuable in determining your circulating E2 levels whilst undergoing this experiment, so having your doctor or endo on board would be helpful (though not essential).

Unfortunately I seem to remember reading about a role for 5AR (the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which creates DHT from testosterone) in plate maturation as well, so the quest for elevated DHT for penile growth may actually negatively affect the bones, though probably to a very small degree.

I'm not sure how interested you are in the science behind the bone growth, but if so, here's a fairly recent (free) review paper that might help you understand the parameters (and lack of knowledge in the area) a little better:

Thanks for the info CFC. If you don't mind me asking, assuming I went with the test, ai, and hcg protocol, what doses would you recommend and what levels should I aim for regarding t and estradiol?

Also, if I end up going down the route of obtaining my substances the "dark way", I would obviously need a source and method for obtaining them. May I ask if source discussion is allowed here? If not, would it be possible for you to point me to the best place to discuss this information?

Now that I go back and look at youre starts. Youre bigger then I was when I got out of highschool, just eating and working out I went from 150 to 180 naturally.

Sorry mate, no source discussion is allowed on BL, we're only here to guide and advise and provide harm reduction. The sale and purchase of AAS is illegal in most territories. Google, big personal trainers and Big Man in the Gym are the way most of us started. Perhaps a good excuse to start bodybuilding if you don't already? Also you may yet find your endo supportive so don't abandon attempts to do this legitimately.

As regards to blood levels of free test, the range in most labs is normally around 300-1200 ng/dl. I would want to aim for 1200 ng/dl. In terms of injections, that would be in the region of no more than about 150mg Test cypionate per week (preferably split dose). However you need blood tests because this depends on a number of factors (SHBG, aromatase activity etc).

For oestrogen, normal range in adult men in most labs is approximately 10-82 pg/ml (1-8.2 ng/dl). I would want to aim for the lowest level, 10 pg/ml.

Thanks for the help CFC. I'll try and do it the legitimate way first, but if push comes to shove I will have to start looking around for a good place.

[MOD EDIT - please avoid taking a hostile attitude towards others on BL - CFC]

Whats up with the hostility? It was a legitimate question and it was already covered. Accusing someone of being fucked up for having a genuine insecurity is unnecessary.
