I've been doing blues for about 2 years and its starting to mess up my life. I've started off taking around 60mg a week and moved up to 30mg a day. I decided to quit a few days ago and what would be the best method to quit cold turkey. I've been getting really angry with everybody around me. I've decided to take xanax every time these rages come up. I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it. Any help would be appreciated

I'm sorry for what your going through but mixing benzodiazepines with opioids is not the way to go about it as it's dangerous and could lead you to dual addiction. If you're taking these for recreational purposes and you feel your ruining your life, the best thing to do is consider quitting or maintenance.

I think what your looking for is support which can be easily found in The Dark Side.

I'm not mixing them together. I know the dangers of mixing beznos and blues. I have quit blues (hopefully for good) and its been 5 days since I last took ir. During these 5 days I would be getting headaches body aches and just horrbile mood swings. During the mood swings I sometimes get into a uncontrollable rage and lash out at everybody. During these rage fits I took the benzos to help me calm down and get ride of these rage fits. And thanks for pointing me to the dark side ill try it out there.

Hey Cracked Out, have you looked into Gabapentin/Pregabalin? They work wonder for opiate withdrawl. In my opinion way better than benzos with a lower addiction potential (but none the less). I suggest only to take benzos for the acute phase which should be over soon.
But the PAWS (post acute withdrawl syndrome) can be a real bitch too. For this Gabapentin and Lyrica help tremendously and are pretty easily prescribed.

I wish you the best with your progress :)

Thanks for all the replies guys.

Hello, I tried doing some google research on Gabapentin and Pregablain. I seem to be getting silly google answers. For instance Gabapentin says its for seizures(epilepsy) and some type of leg syndrome. As for Pregabalin it seems to be another pain killer. Also which would you recommend for me? And could you explain PAWS? I know its been 5 days and I've been going crazy and a crazier. I feel as if I need something going up my nose. Which is why I took the xany.
My friend also recommended me something called suboxins(I'm not sure how to spell it). I also got another recommendation to go talk with a doctor and explain my situation and they would prescribe me something. I just want to stay as far away from blues as possible and I don't wont anything similar to it. And would anybody tell me how long I would have to go through all of this before I completely stop thinking of blues? Also if its something I can snort I think it many help because I'm so used to snorting things it some kid of habit now. Thanks in advance.

Those silly answers you found are correct. Pregabalin is a stronger version of gabapentin. Pregabalin is a pain killer but it isn't an opioid painkiller and it used to treat pain resulting from nerve complications such as fibromyalgia. They both work very well during opiate withdrawals. Also clonidine is another drug that people swear by during opiate withdrawal. It is a beta blocker I believe and it is a BP medication. It is very helpful to calm your overactive nervous system during withdrawals.

Suboxone is part of opiate replacement therapy. It's main active ingredient is buprenorphine, a semi-agonist opiate. It is used to replace the opiate that people have been abusing, in your case oxycodone. The problem with suboxone and methadone is that while you take them you are still physically dependent upon opiates and will one day have to detox from those. Suboxone and methadone both have way longer withdrawals than the oxycodone that you are detoxing from. You are 5 days clean, the worst of your withdrawals are over. It is now up to you mentally to keep yourself clean, there is no sickness forcing you to cop. There is no reason for you to look into suboxone or methadone unless you find yourself battling your addiction for years and constantly relapsing. It should be a last ditch effort if all else fails. You ask how long until you stop craving oxycodone? It takes time man, there is no definite answer. You will probably crave oxycodone for years, the thing is though that everyday you don't pick up managing those cravings becomes easier and easier until it is just a fleeting thought that you can laugh at. The only way you can reach that point is to stay clean. It gets easier everyday that you can do it. Don't treat yourself to just one because there is no such thing.

Keep up the good work. Stop taking benzos.

Mass08 thank you so much for your help and support. I just checked and if I go to a doctor and tell them I have a blue addiction they will prescribe suboxone. Is there any legal way to get the drugs you recommended me? And which one should I take?
