2 years ago i used to shoot heroin one time i shot it in my hand and missed. it was the most painful thing and the next day my hand had swelled up and i couldnt shut it.
it has taken me a year to finally be able to close my hand all the way and i still have trouble opening bottles or other things that require a good twist (im left handed) i have been to the doctor and they have take Xrays of my hand and can not see anything. Yet there is a noticable HARD bone like lump

please help me

i dont shoot up anymore
but i dont know what to do
has anyone else expierenced anything like this?

sometimes it just hurts so bad and it aches.
i just want to take a hammer and smash that lump
i know that wont help but sometimes i wish it would or i would do it

go to the hospital! we (people on BL) cannot give you proper healthcare over the internet!! you could have an abscess whick could potentially cause you to lose your hand!!

please, i am begging you, go to the ER or doctor's office!! unless you like having only 1 hand and nub.

go to a proper doctor, an orthopedics specialist is probably best.

not all hard lumps are bone, and not all are visible on xrays. there are several possibilities for what it may be, however, none you can treat at home.

so do yourself a favor and see a doc.

Back to the Dr. We on bluelight cannot give you medical advise as we are not doctors. We wouldn't want to advise you to do something, than that ends up being wrong and you end up hypothetically loosing your hand, or worse.

Jesus man it sounds like you gave your self an abscess way back and never got it treated and it has obviously never healed properly. I'm guessing when you got these X-Rays you didn't really tell the doctor what you got this pain from, correct? Because any doctor, hell any dope feen knows what an abscess from IVing looks like, and you may have developed scar tissue that is very thick and painful or maybe the infection did some permanent damage to your hand, it's hard to say, especially without seeing it. I would seriously advise you go to to the doctor and be completely honest with what is going on, or at least make up some shit about "getting stuck with a needle" or other sharp object if you don't have the will to just tell them you were shooting drugs. Also, next time this happens, go to the doctor within a few days max, don't wait and wait because infected missed shots are nothing to fuck around with my friend, as you may well know now.

Please see a doctor ASAP.

There are several possibilities, but to me it sounds like you may have injected into a nerve (and may have had further complications, scarring etc after that). Go see a different doctor, tell them the truth about how it happened and that it is causing you pain and difficulty. An X-ray wouldn't necessarily show them anything, you need to be honest with the doctor and if they don't help you then go to another one or demand to see a specialist. If you are worried about them judging you for using IV drugs you can always tell them you learned your lesson and will never use drugs again and you feel so ashamed etc. They need to know exactly what happened in order to give you proper care. I don't think saying you were punctured by a needle/sharp object is good enough, you need to explain about the missed injection, the rapid swelling and pain, and all the symptoms you've had since.

At the very least see a GP, they can refer you to a specialist. That may be more helpful than going to the ER, as in the ER they are often just concerned about whether someone's life is in danger and if not they just discharge you.
