Hey guys,
This is my first post and an joined today. I really need your help. I have 2 broken vertebrae and am on vicodin. I am supposed to take up to 4 a day per the prescription. However, for the last 4 months I have been taking 6 a day. 2 in the morning 2 at noonish and 2 at night. I have been taking vicodin for over 1 year. Yes, I have pain, but I also am addicted. The strength is 10mg 325 Hydrocodone. Will I be ok tonight and not OD from taking 60mg today. Please help me I am so worried.

You should be ok. Just relax. You have tolerance and as long as you havent combined it with booze or other drugs should be fine. But by all means, seek medical attention if truly worried.

yeah youre gunna be just fine. you have a tolerance already. you take 40mg a day. you might even feel a little better than normal. you should talk with your doc if 40mg aint cutting it for pain. careful tho....opiates are a slippery slope

this community is an excellent support resource for addiction. many people know what you are going through. many people have had years of attempting to recover. and many people have recovered.

i think that the above advice was some good advice to give. talk to your doctor. tell him you're worried about addiction. if the withdraw is bad some people have recommended kratom to help wean you off; i've never used nor been addicted to opiates so i can't relate.

but i do know something about addiction; video games. it would help me to completely escape the harshness of my reality. instead of dealing with my problems i would just get lost in a game. this addiction lasted around half a year where i woke up, played, slept. repeat each morning.

the best advice i can't give you is already on this website; but the best support is anywhere you ask for it around here. i hope you feel supported, comforted, and more confident as you reach out for help/portray your worries.

lastly; i highly recommend visiting some of the recovery forums; such as sober living. best of luck
