Is doing benzos and then drinking a few beers really a lethal combination? It doesn't really matter because this thread is gonna take so long to actually be posted I'm probably just gonna do it; I need a beer. But any light shed on this subject would be great, thanks
 
It can be lethal but many people have combined them without dying.

It should be avoided, only because it's a bad hangover and you can wake up without remembering what happened for the most part before you woke up/after you start getting drunk on benzos.
 
Depends totally on quantities. In large doses, yes, benzos and alcohol can be a lethal mix.
 
Mixing depressants should be handled with the utmost of care if at all - the state one is in after mixing them is rarely one capable of "the utmost of care".

Low doses of benzos and low doses of alcohol will just make you black out, and probably act like a moron. Higher doses of either can lead to respiratory depression and death.
 
I'm pretty sure I mixed phenazepam with booze a couple of times. I don't remember it being that great (but then again I don't really remember much of anything during the times I used phenazepam :\ )
 
I think the danger of doing something stupid or reckless or saying things you don't mean is almost as "dangerous" as the potential overdose that large quanities of both can cause...
 
i've done it many times without dying but it did lead to dangerous behaviors and blackouts. it all depends on quantity though. taking a low dose of benzos with a few beers, is less dangerous than getting completely wasted on alcohol by itself.
 
Heres what happen to me, read please

Hey I have personal experience with that combo... one night I got some valium from a friend who had got them prescribed for some neck injury, he got valium and vicodin. Anyways, he gave me 5 10mg pills. I took 3 at first thinking I was just going to be sitting at home for the night... Literally 10 minutes later my friend blake and 3 of our friends showed up with a 5th of capt morgan pineapple rum and a 5th of HYNOTIQ. We decided that the girls would split the 5th of pineapple rum and me and my friend blake would take the hypnotiq. OVer the next about 30 mintues me and blake had finished about 2/3 of the bottle.. at this point i felt great but had terrible balance and hand eye coordination, things seemed to be a little bit slowed down... so as we all walk downstairs to leave my house i popped the other 2 valiums... we get into the car and drive 10 minutes to my friends party that has her own property, so we have to park about a half mile from the house and walk this looooong dark narrow driveway. When we arrived there were some other cars just pulling up which were friends of ours. They immediately gave me a beer and me and blake capped off our bottle of hypnotiq. As im walking up the driveway i star to feel weightless, almost like i was in space or something. very odd feeling. I start to stumble left and right with my vision getting really fuzzy. As i stumble up the driveway half laughing half wondering WTF... all the sudden MY VISION GOES COMPLETELY BLACK, i coudlnt see anythin and peoples voices sounded as if they were 10 miles away yet whisperi in my ear. I started calling for blake as i have my hands stretched out in front of me trying to feel somethin around me.. i got dizzy and jus sat down becuase i could see nothing at all and jusfelt like i was in space. my frieds are all around me askin if im ok and i jus sat there not responding...i was in a trance but panicking inside. after about 30 secs my vision slowly came back as im all the sudden super hot drippin w sweat... i then standup and puke an start to feel normal again... then partyyyyy was on. SO,N BE DANGEROUS
 
Only time I ever used to drink alcohol was with benzo's, always, and pretty hectic quantities of benzodiazepines. Almost everytime this happened though, I severely blacked out and did some stupid shit and also made a fucking ass of myself. Not recommend IMO as this can lead to respiratory depression as well and you could die.

A few beers is okay, don't mix with hard liquor though.
 
The other night I had just 2mg klonopin (no benzo tolerance) and had 2 beers with 3 or 4 shots of sky vodka (light alcohol tolerance) I had a very fun time, and remember everything up until the when we left the BBQ, because I blacked out. I would say this was the perfect amount to mix, but as u can see it's low amount, had I taken even one more shot I think bad things could of started to happen...
 
Lorazepam with vodka is better if you want to have a blackout (just be sure of not having too much vodka at hand).
 
If you change your thread title to "benzos and alcohol" you'll probably get better responses, since it will let people who are familiar with the subject know what's inside the thread.

Plus its helpful for people in the future who will be searching thread titles and looking for the dame info. Do tar world a favor and update the title! "so curious" isn't very helpful...
 
Friend of mine survived 180mg Temazepam and 6 shots. She knew nothing about drugs and how she shouldn't have done that. Called me up one night at 8:30 PM saying she didn't feel well && my jaw dropped when she told me what she took. She was really fucked up when I got to her place && I honestly don't know how she made it through the night.

Don't mix benzos with too much alcohol. A beer or two would be fine, but anything more could be deadly.
 
When a person OD's there is a good chance that benzos were usually in the mix. Benzos are dangerous to mix with just about any drug, especially any CNS depressants as it will cause you to stop breathing. I have known dozens of people who ODed and almost all of them had been taking benzos. For example, a good friend of mine died years ago from xanax and methadone, and to be honest I have taken that combo before and felt fine. I didn't realize how dangerous it truly was.
