Please help Light Bulb meth pipe question.

So i made a pipe out of a light bulb and im using the straw method. Why am i not getting the clouds i want? I get the same psychotropic effect as when i use an actual oil burner but i love the clouds!! I like using a hollowed out cleaned light bulb because of the size and shape but i miss my thick white clouds! please help
