Opioids Please help iving generic dilaudid

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help. I have ived dilaudid before and it was nice.
However, yesterday I got my script for dilaudid and got it filled at A
different pharmacy. They gave me A generic made by Roxane. I have
never had these ones before. Usually I crush up like two or three in
A spoon then add water. I then add A little heat to help it desolve.
When I added heat to these they simply turned into A crapy jelly
like substance and it sucked. Are these not shootable? I was very
frustrated. After thinking for A while I decided to try it not using any
heat as I had read about this. Well, it did kinda work. This time there
was no jelly but the solution in the rigg was kinda cloudy and I could
see A little bit of the powder in the rigg. And yes I did use A cotton and
even tried filtering it twice. Anyway I usually get A very nice high from
iving three of these 4mg dilaudids tabs. This time I didnt get much of
anything, and no rush like I usually get. Also, just to you know I banged
some tar herion for first time like two weeks ago and over the past two
weeks have done the herion injections a lot. But, I dont think that would
make my tolerance this dam bad, gee. And anyway isnt dilaudid stronger
than herion?
Any help would be very appreciated. I dont like these stinking dlaudids made
by ROXANE.

OK, if it turns out you cannot get the solution into the syringe, get a babies oral syringe. Mix the gooey gloppy hydromorphone mixture well. Get on all fours, (Vaseline helps a lot) and shove that puppy at least until you feel your asshole start to suck the syringe in. (It's a natural body function). Anyways, pull the trigger slowly and lie there for a good 10 or 15 minutes. By this time you should be feeling a nice strong hydromorphone rush. (K, not IV, but good.... :) )

Now c'mon get over it, ot's just your butt... pussies...
 
So you IVd a shot that was cloudy and had powder in it? If it won't dissolve in water, how is it going to dissolve in blood?
 
well, good question djsim.

But, I could see where it was collecting at the plunger and I simply stopped before I
completely finished, that left the powder in the syringe. It was only a very little bit,
but still makes me nervouse. I hope that I will be ok. I usually heat it up some, but
like I said that makes it turn to a crapy gel. geee
I guess I will find out soon. lol

Have you heard of these dillys ?
 
Do not heat pills when prepping them for IV injection. Invest in some wheel/micron filters, they aren't expensive.

Roxane Laboratories makes 2mg, 4mg and 8mg generic Hydromorphone tablets.

Each Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Tablet USP, for oral administration, contains 2 mg and 4 mg of hydromorphone hydrochloride. In addition, the tablets
include confectioner’s sugar, corn starch, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, and stearic acid.

None of these tablets contain the ingredient used as an anti-abuse mechanism (for example the TEVA OxyContin). Meaning, the gel is a result of you heating the tablets and causing the inactive ingredients in the tablets to become thick and sticky.
 
Yeah I've never came across ANY Dilaudid's that turned to gel. That would really make my heart sink when my pain gets so bad that eating them or plugging them just isn't going to cut it. Over the last year or so though I've gone to about 4 different Pharmacies and I always get "Malli's" M on one side 4 on the other. I've only once got a different brand and it was a little bit smaller and actually broke up easier for IV with less crap then the "Malli's" even do.

Please do run them through a Micron filter though. Anytime I've had to IV these which I try to avoid doing all that often, I filter it through cotton and then through a TINY .20um Micron Filter and it comes out crystal clear. 8-12mg's is the sweet spot for me. Anything more seems to be a waste.

P.S. I never heat the pills either. Your causing inactive ingredients to dissolve into it. Hydromorphone is plenty water soluble in room temp and/or cold water
 
Whatever you do don't heat them. Even without a micron filter if you just soak them in water after crushing for a couple of minutes it will 'disolve' in the water and filter that.....bang
 
yeah there is dillys that you cant shoot i have had them before

they gel like u are saying they look like regular duliadid but maybee a little bit bigger no way around the gel that i know of looks like yer snorting or plugging them make sure not to use that same pharmacy again
 
I would suggest that you read the thread about the guy that is losing his hand due to this.
Just for the sake of this being a harm reduction site.
 
I have been on hydromorphone for about a year. The pharmacy I usually use gives me the 4mg Mallinckrodt brand. This last week I had to use a different pharmacy and ended up getting the Roxane brand. I do see a difference in the two, but have never had a problem with either of them gelling up when preparing. I use warm/hot water to dissolve the tablet and the only difference I find between the two brands is that the Mallies leave behind a lot of left over powder in the spoon whereas the Roxanes leave behind NOTHING at all. With the Mallies I can usually fill up two 1cc rigs and both have effective amounts of medication, where with the Roxane I find that there's no leftover powder or anything in the spoon or cotton.

Now I think there's some difference in effectivemess...Does anyone have any insight on this one? I feel that the Mallies come on faster and stronger, where the Roxanes take just a tiny bit longer to kick in and might not be as powerful.

Any theories and comments would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'm going to ask the pharmacy if they only order the Roxane brand.
 
I've been on dilaudid for 2 and a half years now... For the first 18 months or so I was plugging them, which I still feel gives the best overall high (I've done dillies every possible way).

Yes, IV gives you the rush, but after that its nothing to write home about. When you plug, during the first 10-15 mins you get what I would call a slow, gentle rush, like a warm, fuzzy blanket is slowly wrapping you up. After that, it slowly fades into a nice, fairly long lasting and VERY pleasurable high. If you've never plugged dillies, get over you silly homophobia, look up proper plugging technique and try 8mg.

You'll love it.

About 6 months ago I switched to IV because my tolerance got so high I just didn't feel anything from plugging anymore. Now I get a mild rush that fades into me feeling "normal," but it's better than nothing.

Ive gone through several brands of generics and they all feel the same - the only difference i've found is, when crushing and dissolving in water, some leave behind more binder/filler/waste than others, but I've yet to discover the dreaded gel.

Will also add the the chorus of DO NOT HEAT UP DILAUDID to dissolve it. You don't need to and the crap that gets left behind after you filter through cotton BELONGS left behind in the spoon. If you heat up the solution even a little, that stuff will melt into your IV solution and its very bad for you.

If your solution is cloudy, you're not doing it right. If you've done your best and it's still cloudy, squirt that out of the IV into a clean spoon, drop in some clean cotton and filter a second time. If that still doesn't work you're mistaking chalk for dilaudid or you're just not cut out for IV drug use :-)

In any case, if you plug you don't have to worry about any of these health risks (and the high is better).

I have a suspicion that we won't see dilaudid that gels because that additive is expensive and dilaudid is a cheap drug (I think the pharmacy price for an 8mg is well under two bucks). Drugs like opana are VERY expensive so they wont lose any money making it "safer."

It's just a theory, but changing the formula to create an injection-proof dilaudid would be a costly change and if we know anything to be true it's that the pill companies don't want anything eating into their profits!

I did figure the left over 'chalk' wasn't meant at all to be used, and holds no therapeutic value. It's just some mental block I have that akes me feel that there's still MORE when there's more residue in the spoon...Words of a junkie I suppose.

Comparing plugging to someone how has IVed Dillies for 2 years, would the high be anything comperable?
 
If you've been IVing dillies for 2 years, you've probably built one hell of a tolerance, god knows if you'd feel anything plugging. What do you feel now when you inject? How much at a time?

Of course the only way to know for sure is to try it, of course. If I had been using ANY drug for 2 years I would have tried every possible ROA at least a few times, just out of curiosity and boredom!

Give it a whirl... Its weird, even though proper plugging involves making a liquid solution and squirting it up your Hershey Highway, you CAN just shove the pill up there - it won't be the same but it DOES work. In fact sometimes doing that gave me a high I could feel (albeit a mellow one) when all the other tricks stopped working.

Also worth noting that when I did cram a pill up there the effects lasted longer and, most notably, withdrawals took longer to return than with any other ROA, even "regular" plugging.

Hey, it's the weekend, I think it's time for you, your dilaudid and the little brown starfish to have a party!
