please help identify 'herbal incense'

a buddy of mine works at a smokeshop and today i went there and we weere talking for a minute and then he just kind of slipped me these two little baggies of what look like leaves and stems of sorts with a little card stapled to it that said Rain herbal essence, and then it started to name off abunch of stuff that it DOESNT contain, couldnt find anything on google by that name and just figured it was synthetic weed, so i called a friend over not wanting to do it myself, and after we both took 2 we just both started busting up laughing and laughing and my body got all fuzzy and my vision was very distorted and well it didnt last long so we smoked some more, but then my friend started started tripping and feeling horrible, he went to sit outside and literally within like 10 minutes he asked me 'are you fucked up?' about 15 times, and i kept asking him if he remembers asking me that each time and he didnt.. i made him go lay down and now hes sleeping, but im sitting here smoking it still as we speak and didnt feel anything like that..Does anyone know what this might be?


I didnt get to ask my buddy in the store cause customers started walking in.

/e: im thinking its synthetic marijuana, but ive been a heavy pot smoker for years and i never felt what im feeling right now off weed
