im taking Game Programming, Design, and Analysis this semester, and i will be programming 3 computer games (executeable on any operating system). The first two im pretty sure will just be modifications of preexisting source code, the last one ill make from scratch. They are simple 2D games, in the nintendo-supernintendo vein (if any of you are into game systems, im using the Allegro API implemented in C++).
Im considering dedicating it to bluelight, was going to have a very small Zelda type rpg. You could select your class, be it like a Raver, Coke-Gangsta, Metalhead, Hippy, and Postwhore nub. The bad guys would be like Cops, State Police, DEA, FBI, etc. You would have to fulfill quests such as delivering a bag of K from some shady raver to a addict down the street, to get a magic syringe of +1 smackness to fight off a withdrawl-suffering zombie, etc. It would be so much fun! Im open to any ideas, I wouldnt even start implementing this untill around november. Im worried it may not be appropriate for the classroom since ill be presenting this to a very advanced class of students in Computer Science (stereotypically not the drug binging types...), so I may just wait till the semester is over and do it over Xmas break. Either way, there WILL Bluelight.nu video game for you all to play when ur nice and ripped by the end of winter.
