Playing Video Games On Drugs[MEGA MERGED]

fuckin ninja turtles rules when youre high. its the type of game where you walk into a room with like 20 guys and just kill them all. i got it for xbox though.

i dont play computer games, but card games are fun IMO, namely rummy, poker (any kind), and euchre.

tiger woods 2004/5 is alot of fun to play.

i would play any game you liked, and you will like it that much more when youre high.

^I was thinking of getting some coke and going paintballing someday. I think that'd be very amusing. First of all, getting hit wouldn't hurt as much (or so I would imagine) and second of all you'll get that power trip from coke and go fucking mad. I must try this soon.

whoa how unexpected. i played paintball coked out once and i tried real hard to have fun but was just overwhelmed. sniffing like mad underneath the mask, trying hard to keep hydrated, and trying to play the game proved too hard and led to total exhaustion. was cool once i was drinkin water and smokin cigarettes off to the side watchin my pals tho. waste of llello defintely

I thought so too, but i cant find it :\ if you can, post the link and i'll merge it :)

Depends on what your high on. On stimulants, like meth, counter-strike is fucking awesome. Due to it's high paced nature and the attitude of the drug transfers well (confidence, high energy, charging, but thinking).

Games like Splinter Cell are fun, but are way too slow paced for stims and are therefore boring.

I think any game is a good game if your high on downers (h....). You'd probably have fun playing out Minefield or Pac-Man.

...
weed = sonic
x = quake3 (but when I take x I cant play more than 20-30 mins it becomes borin :D:D:D)

Ha, I'm pretty stoned right now, and I'm having a mental war about staying here and listening to the rest of Rubber Soul or going to play metal gear solid.

However, playing old school nostalgic 8/16-bit childhood favourites is always amazing. almost spiritual even, ha.

im taking Game Programming, Design, and Analysis this semester, and i will be programming 3 computer games (executeable on any operating system). The first two im pretty sure will just be modifications of preexisting source code, the last one ill make from scratch. They are simple 2D games, in the nintendo-supernintendo vein (if any of you are into game systems, im using the Allegro API implemented in C++).

Im considering dedicating it to bluelight, was going to have a very small Zelda type rpg. You could select your class, be it like a Raver, Coke-Gangsta, Metalhead, Hippy, and Postwhore nub. The bad guys would be like Cops, State Police, DEA, FBI, etc. You would have to fulfill quests such as delivering a bag of K from some shady raver to a addict down the street, to get a magic syringe of +1 smackness to fight off a withdrawl-suffering zombie, etc. It would be so much fun! Im open to any ideas, I wouldnt even start implementing this untill around november. Im worried it may not be appropriate for the classroom since ill be presenting this to a very advanced class of students in Computer Science (stereotypically not the drug binging types...), so I may just wait till the semester is over and do it over Xmas break. Either way, there WILL Bluelight.nu video game for you all to play when ur nice and ripped by the end of winter.

YOUR drugs & video game experiences

Video games are a huge waste of time in general, especially while on psychedelics.

But thats only because as an art form they are badly underdeveloped; our video games are really just the first step in what is going to end up a realm of manufactured realities.

That said, there are some games nowadays that push through the shittiness of the medium. Some are so simple but soo fun. Some integrate story and gameplay in a new innovative whatever.

Anyway, I just want to give a shout out to the game Farcry:instincts and its sequel, Farcry:instincts:regeneration.

The men who made them really understand what playing a game and wasting time is about. And you know anything seriously dealing with dmt and inspired by it will have some substance somewhere.

So rent it or download it if you're capable. Hell, buy it you have so much money you dont know what to do with it.

Ok, I have played Far Cry on the PC, but I didn't get very far (gave up because my system didn't run it as well as I would have liked). What do you mean by the statement that it is inspired by DMT, how so? I would really like to know. Another game that is very creative, very fun, and inspired by psychedelics is Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari. I haven't ever really thought to play video games too much while tripping, though. One time I tried to play War of the Monsters on PS2 after eating a full dried ounce of lab shrooms - all I could do was jump from rooftop to rooftop laughing my ass off. My friend who wanted to fight me got upset, and kept asking me to focus. So I tried and failed miserably. Then I dropped the controller and skidaddled. And I played God of War on LSD and it terrified me...literally. I ended up in the back of a police car after that one.

The first time I played it I stopped in the early jungle paradise levels because I thought it was just another shooter. I really can't say anything more than it gets really very good after that because it would give away the story, which is really very good.

Also, what makes that game good is that there is never a reson to pause for even a second, if you play it the way its meant to be played you just run through that whole game guns blazing. A bad framerate would kill that fun. I use the xbox, its good enough.

Yeah I played that katamari shit, or as my friends and I call it, "roll roll" I agree, that is what happens when someone grasps what a game could be, breaks the forms, and psychedlics are involved.

You have me pretty interested in that God of War shit, but even never having played it I'm pretty sure thats what goes on in my head any time i eat enough mushrooms.

Well. Once I was bored on a mediocre mushroom trip and decided to play some Halo. That was perhaps the most enjoyable game of halo I have ever played. It was so amazingly fun. Just driving around in my car running people over. Good times.
