plastic graffix bong + alcohol = boom?

okay, maybe this is something no one ever told me, but.. is there a problem with using rubbing alcohol to clean out a plastic bong?
i didn't think a diluted mix would hurt but it made my bong crack in a bunch of places. i'm not too worried, it's just the plastic one, but still, what the hell is the deal with that?
how DOES one actually get the tar off the plastic?

Go toyour local head shop and ask for Plastic Pipe cleaner. They will prolly give you 420 Juice or Purple Passion. Dont use household shit get stuff specifically for cleaning bongs.

that is why i like glass pieces more...so much easier to maintain and the fact that it's fragile makes you baby yer piece more...

i have a nice big glass water pipe. it's blue and has frosted glass flames on the side. i use the plastic one when i have people over or when i want a quick bowl (it's smaller and easier)

um, maybe dilute rubbing alcohol?
if that doesnt work, warm it.
while cleaning a glass one
i discovered that warm isopropanol works very well
better than methanol or ethanol
even if theyre warm
that's glass though

i wish i didn't (and hadn't), i think all synthetic shit is terrible for you. i've dropped acid and eaten rolls and now i'm taking mad benzos and shit but i know it's bad for me. how can anything unnatural work its way into the complicated workings of life?
