Besides herb (;

I've asked on Yahoo Answers and got all "omg smoking iz bad u gauyz. arnt u underage" so I thought there must would be somewhere to get a straight answer.

I'm thinking of buying some rolling paper and roll-your-own tobacco (any suggestions with type or whatever?) and trying to mix it with herbs to make semi-herbal cigarettes. I've got a bunch of mint, cilantro, oregano, lavender, and some veggies but I'll probably buy some seeds soon and I wanted to know what goes well with tobacco (aside from clove or tobacco and other plants that would obviously be used for cigarettes- I'd rather my parents not know whats going on). Also I might do some shopping in the spices or organic foods/medicine section of Walmart to try and hunt down lobelia and other herbs (clove if I can find it). What other plants/seeds should I look out for? I wanted to grow or at least roll my own for the fun of it and satisfaction of being all "yeah I grew this shit -cough hack cough-"

Any suggestions for what plants mix well with tobacco in a cigarette (ones to buy at the store or that I could grow)?
Any tips for rolling them?

Pretty much anything goes well with tobacco, it's just a matter of personal taste and whether something burns well. Any dried herbs that can be smoked or burnt as incense are a good place to start. And try some smoking mixtures for pipes that you can get at the tobacconist, they can be delicious. Of the ones you listed, the mint and the lavender would be the best, I don't think cilantro or or oregano would taste good. Make sure you dry them properly, a good easy way is to hang small bundles of the herbs upside-down. As ish675 said, sage can be good. There are a ton of different herbs in the sage family (salvia - you may have heard of one of the most famous ones, salvia divinorum, as it has strong psychoactive/halluginogenic properties, but most salvia species have much more subtle effects). Salvia is actually a genus of the mint family, and there are a ton of varieties of mint as well. It's really interesting to learn about the medicinal properties and traditional uses of each herb.

The type of cigarettes that come with clove in them are usually made from tobacco that has been soaked in clove oil and then dried, if I recall correctly. But I suppose you could try adding some ground cloves.

Salvia is a good one to try, i smoked 35x for the first time last night. Mega trippy, it felt like i went away for a couple of minutes but i dont know where too lol. Then i came back and couldnt really explain what had happened to everyone. Salvia is best being smoked through a pipe or bong, My friend bought a ready rolled joint of it once but said it did absolutly nothing to him.

Here is a link to that trip experience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqpLyJNS-bM&feature=plcp

Sage and tobacco is my personal favorite : ) White sage, whole, ground up with fingers/mortar and pestle/w/e...

Peppermint and Tobacco :D Best menthol cig there is!

I like the Lavender suggestion- combines well with sage. Also ( not necessarily in combo)- lemon balm, (melissa) motherwort, mugwort, and calamus (nice psychoative herb, read a powerful plant ally- Really goood as a tea/chew, to enable/motivate, basically giving yoiu balls when you may have lost them ^.^
