Plant similar to Marijuana in growing?

Hello Cannabis forum! I was thinking about growing my own marijuana when I get my card but that wont be for a while now. I was curious if anyone knows if there is any plant(s) that I can buy for practice! I plan to do my growing outdoors in a big pot.

I hear that tomatoes are pretty similar. But what's the point in "practicing" on different plants in different conditions?

But there is only one way to learn how to grow. Hands on trial and error/success with real cannabs plants. Get some clones. Cannabis likes light, airy soil, and lots of sunshine.

And ... as others have stated... tomatoes are definitely the closest plant you can grow to marijuana. I started out with peppers and tomatoes and eventually moved to pot... it was a glorious day when I chopped my 2nd crop down, I finally grew the quality of pot that I wanted to smoke but could only find once or twice a year locally....

oh yeah and I HAVE to add this. He is sooo right about the airy soil and I have a great soil mixture for you to use, if you go the soil route....

Fox Farms Ocean Forest 2:1 ratio with perlite..... Definitely the best mix I have ever used and I have experimented with not only pot but veggies as well. And my pot and veggies will have no other soil mix again..... PM me ifyou have any more questions...
 
When I use to grow, I would always have some kind of Fox Farms product around. They make GOOOOD stuff when it comes to growin the best

Dude... Maybe I'm really high right now, but that sounds glorious.... Makes me wanna grow myself haha
