pipe shattered.. a long with my heart :[

I feel your pain, man. Once, I got a nice, $80 bowl from a head shop, and two weeks later, some dumbass friend dropped it and broke it. Each crack in the glass is a nail through your soul :( R.I.P. your glass. Time to RIP something else. Go for bigger and better, that always cheered me up.
 
I bought a mushroom bong once, it kicked ass, then my friend broke it before I had a chance to try it out, (Put it on a table and knocked it over somehow or something.. He tried to avoid the question) I was pissed as I payed 120 bucks for it.

i did the same thing once. that same pipe was also dropped from me standing onto a glass ashtray on the floor and the ashtray cracked but not the pipe. it was just a cheap little spoon too i think the cheapest pipe that i have.

Oh but it can be so much more.

I recently picked up a color-changing honeycomb bowl at a festival that was made by the best glass pipe blower in the midwest (Lucky the Lizard King; search youtube for a vid =P). Not only are color-changing honeycombs extremely rare, but this piece is nothing short of amazing. The colors are changing very slowly and the style is unlike anything I have ever seen (small little random markings just appear in the outer layers of the glass, and they have metallic/glossy colors instead of the normal bland colors).

Also as a mouthpiece it has a big piece of white stuff around the open end which has been slowly expanding and is beginning to run through the body of the pipe. There's also 4 thick green glass stripes he put on the outside of the body to make it stronger (and because I asked for some green in it; they also reflect the colors). The pipe is mostly a random blue/green speckled pattern with some purple/red. The front is real thick too, hopefully it would protect it if the "d" word happened...

The honeycomb is just barely starting to change colors after 6+ months. I estimate it may take 5 or so years to finish changing design, if I can manage to hold on to it for that long. If it breaks or is taken from me I might have a meltdown.

Additionally the pipe represents a great night where myself and a friend met one of the coolest guys in the world. We listened to George Clinton blaring from his tent for an hour or two while we watched the man work and conversed with him about all sorts of things. The honeycomb-making process is very cool by the way, and if you are going to watch a pipe be made in front of you, this is one of the coolest things to see them do. Before and afterwards we did other sweet ass festival shit.

So all in all, if you don't have a pipe that means something to you, then you are missing out on the full stoner experience.

my first bowl broke when I was getting out of the shower [yeah Im so lazy I clean them when im in the shower].
I was putting it on the rug but it hit the tile.
The shattering sound was heart wrenching :'[
