Pins & Needles from Heroin

Hi, I'm relatively new here and had a question for people. I have been on suboxone for the last two years and for the last 8 months or so I have been going back and forth between dope and subs. Lately, every time I shoot dope, I get that pins & needles feeling -- extreme itchiness, redness and tingling. I'm not really sure what the cause of it is, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to avoid this feeling. It seems that if I do a smaller shot (~3 bags) I don't really get any rush because of my tolerance, but when I do a larger shot (5-7 bags) I get the pins and needles feeling. It's frustrating because I can't really get the rush I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to avoid this feeling. Heroin is a morphine prodrug. The two drugs are one and the same, except "heroin" is a morphine molecule with 2 acetyl groups. These acetyl groups make the morphine molecule more potent because they make it more lipid soluble and thus it's a quicker acting form of morphine. That's all heroin really is.

heroin is a prodrug for the delivery of systemic morphine.

^It's almost certainly the heroin. Morphine does the same thing,as someone stated. I've just learned to love the pins and needles. Pavlov's dog I guess.

the pins&needles is from the histamine release.. take an anti-histamine 20-30min before you do your dope and you shouldn't experience much of the p&n.

when I've shot morphine, I get a really bad histamine reaction. So i had to take a benadryl or similar anti-histamine to calm the side-effects.
