Anyone heard of or do this? I remember sone dude tellin me bout this once but I never tried. Supossed to be pretty wicked.

Mersyndol is IMHO a pretty weak calmative/analgesic. More than likely the MDMA would entirely override any effects from the mersyndol.
For the record:
Mersyndol = 500mg paracetamol + 8-9mg codeine phosphate + 4-5mg doxylamine succinate
Other brand name Dolased.
Some pharmacies require your name and address to purchase these OTC calmatives. They're mostly used for pain such as joint pain or headaches.
There's no real contraindication, but you'd have to take too many mersyndol to make it worthwhile, and it would feel pretty much like you were stoned on MDMA. Mersyndol are also habit-forming, meaning if you take them too often soon you'll feel like you won't be able to sleep without taking one before bed.

Make sure not to have too many either. Paracetamol is hell on your liver, and as few as 4 of these at once has the potential to begin to cause problems - with or without MDMA...

^^ This concerns me, while in hospital a close relative of mine was given loads of paracetamol because she is allergic to codeiene and other forms of synthetic (ultram) pain-releivers weren't very helpful.
Other then morphine, paracetamol was really the only other drug prescribed and was given the maximum daily dosage.
1000mg every 2-4 hrs? That must equate to atleast 8-10grams a day, it can't be THAT harmful? Or are you trying to tell me her liver is now consequently ruined?

Its pretty rough stuff. I saw on the news a couple of days ago a representative from melb RCH pushing for more explicit warnings on paracetamol products. This was in relation to a 13 year old child who suffered liver failure and died, after taking regular adult doses for a prolonged period. It is unwise to extend reccomended doses listed on the packet past 48 hours, or to have too many at once. Suicide via swallowing the combined contents of an average box of panadol is a somewhat common method among teens searching for a way out... A somewhat unplesant way to die too, liver failure is anything but instantaneous.
This warning also applies to quaffing DXM cough mixture to get high without appropriately checking the label. If your particular brew contains paracetamol, listed on the bottle as acetaminophen, drinking a "recreational" DXM dose will probably kill you. Slowly. Caution!

==================================================
Phenacetin and paracetamol in normal therapeutic doses [edit: which may now equate to less than 2g over 48hours] are metabolised into either or both of 2 harmless metabolites; a sulphate or a glucuronide.
However, when doses exceed personal tolerance levels, the cytochrome P450 steps in to "handle the excess" and produces the toxic benzoquinone imine intermediate.
Depending on your levels of the important P450 substrate, glutathione - a natural antioxidant produced in nearly every cell - the toxic imine is converted into a harmless compound which is excreted.
When Glutathione is depleted, the imine reacts with cell proteins which results in the death of the cell.
==================================================
Glutathione must be synthesised within the cell. Levels are thought to vary somewhat between individuals, and are not easily increased. Giving the amino acid cystine, one of the 3 starting amino acids, is not thought to raise levels by much and presents other health concerns, and glutathione administered intravenously has a very short half life.
It’s possible the combination of E and paracetamol could potentiate the effects of glutathione depletion. I’m not saying it definitely would, but as MDMA also uses P450 cytochromes when available, care should be exercised, as it should with any new drug type, dosage or combination.

yeah thanx for all the replies. Especially for bringing to light the fact that paracetemol is harmful to the liver in large doses -Im sure we all do enough damage to our livers without making them worse with panadeine or mersyndol or whatever!
I usually use mersyndol to help me get to sleep after a big wkend (weve all had those Mon or Tues nite were we vow to take a lot less drugs next wkend). But will definitely NOT be using mersyndol for the sole porpose of sleeping now.
Thankx.

get some restavit instead, it had the calmative that mersyndol has without the pesky paracetamol, 25mg of doxylamine succinate to be exact. LD50 is 470mg/kg in mice, so thats not an issue however it can make you very tired so be careful driving, or avoid it.

awesome man. Thanx.
Do you know if this is available straight over the counter in a chemist??

There is another tablet that only contains doxylamine succinate, called Dozile (it has the same amount as restavil, 25mg). The tablets are very similar in shape to temazepam...the difference is that they are clear purple gel caps, as opposed to green opaque... Please follow the others advice about paracetamol, as it is extremely rough on your liver. Dozile is also kept behind the counter, they ask you for your name and address, but as with restavil, you don't need a script. One thing, these are quite weak calmatives/sedatives, if you've taken a considerable amount of amphetamines, you would probably need more than 2 (reccommended dosage). I guess it would be up to the individual though.

Just wanted to clarify something - minimum toxic dose of paracetamol for adults is more than 4 tablets. That figure sounds more like a lethal dose for children. For adults:
For adults, the recommended daily dosage is not to exceed 4 grams. The minimum acute toxic dose (minimum single dose required to produce toxic effects) is 5 to 15 grams (10 to 30 500 mg tablets). The acute lethal dose (minimum single dose required to cause death) ranges from 13 to 25 grams. From Acute acetaminophen toxicity: report of a case
People who use alcohol chronically are at risk from smaller doses however, 4gm for instance: see Alcohol/acetaminophen syndrome. As phase_dancer said, it is possible a similar situation occurs after MD** use, so caution should be used.
