whenever I test a pill, I swirl the drop of reagent around a bit so I can see the colour clearly.. invariably, when I do this, most of the colour is black/purple, but there are streaks of green, red, orange and variations of these through the liquid..
does anyone know the actual reactions between the reagent (E2 tester) and the various chemicals it tests for... what is precipitated etc..

by E2 do you mean Mandelin? If so then yes, you can see other reactions in the liquid other than the purple one.It is very hard to tell what they mean tho. Seeing the green reaction usualy indicates there is some amphetamine present.
