Pill Purification/Snorting Question

I generally just eat my pills, but every now a then it's fun to do a line or two, so I was thinking a cold water extraction might make the experience a little more tolerable by removing some of the binders

I've done this many a time with codeine, but with MDMA I'll obviously have to evaporate off the water, just wondering what would be the best way to go about this??

Will heating it cause much MDMA to evaporate?? How long will water take to evaporate without heating?? Anyone done this before??

I'm in South Australia and, for me at least, pure MDMA powder seems to be a rare find, so this is my only option, any help is much appreciated

I'll hopefully get rid of a lot of the binders, so then I'll only be snorting the active ingredients

The less powder I have to snort up my nose, the better

Cold water extraction is a pretty easy process... but it's more of a curiosity thing

I wanna do it, just to see if i can do it, kinda thing

Soma, encouraging our posters to be amateur chemists is not something we like to do here in ED............it can create dangerous situations.

However I suspect you may be able to get answers from the good people in Advanced Drug Discussion. Hence i am going to shoot this over there.

Personally I suspect it would be a waste of time but I done profess to be an expert.

Hey, it works. Done it once just to see.
I mixed up the pill powder with 5.0ml of water and then pulled that up into a syringe via a micron filter, then stuck that extract in a dish and evaped it. Result? Nice off-white crystals, woohoo!

I just waited. I wasn't in a hurry.
I can imagine that heating it would be fine though . Maybe just acidify the water a tiny bit with HCl though, not sure if MDMA base behaves differently under heat. Of course, there shouldn't be any base in there anyway, but... you know, CO2, and all that... might generate some... best to do it anyway, IMO.
