What! The dude with the blog and the recently published book from Detroit? It sucks to lose any member but I really liked him.

Just read his obituary online. Very sad to lose such a talented artist and writer. Dude lived a wild life and was a great writer.
 
I can't say I'm extremely surprised, but he will be missed. Loved his blog and hearing him tell old grateful dead stories. RIP, pigpen.

I loved his absolute honesty. He might have been the only junkie ever that I would trust to house sit for me or some shit. Seemed like a genuine fella. I'm glad he was able to get his book published. I bet that made him really happy.

Haha, yeah. I was very close with Matthew and he definitely earned my trust. He is the only bluelighter I have met in the physical realm. I miss him a lot.
