picture on a pile

it's not just at the
poignant moments of one's life
when one sits down and
sift through the pictures
that tells the story
of a different chapter
of that life

most pictures end up
being kept in albums
but every now and then
there will be a few pictures
that will end up in a pile
and left in a shoebox most will name
"boxed memories best left behind"

so the question is...
what makes a picture
what makes that particular one
end up being
the picture on the pile?

Gosh...

I am a picture person. Once in awhile, I pull them out from the shoebox. And it brings back memories, of a different life that I once knew. I wonder to myself; Do these people remember these times?

I know as we get older we begin to forget times that You thought
would NEVER die. We a best friends pinky sware meant everything. And all bets could be found by one solid word.

Now there are the pictures that make it in frames. I want to tell this story of what happened between me and ex.. my friends are my most prized possesion. I didn't have much of a family. In highschool I had this group of friends that I haven't seen in years.
But their pictures hold in a frame above my bed. And my ex would be like "Would you just get rid of those pictures already!"

And for a time period I thought to myself, Should I put them away? Should I forget about one the happiest times in my life. But at the same time they made me so sad. Because, I believe that we meet people for a reason.. we fill certain voids in each persons life. And when the void is filled we move on. You just don't know that void til it's gone. But, I've got my memories.
I lost the boyfriend....lol

Remember Titanic... the end when Rose did everything she ever
wanted. Well when someone looks back at our lifes' they'll see..
that our lives weren't left empty. And it may take up space... but it is a space of a memory that will always be filled...

most or all of my pic and photos are sealed away in shoe boxes... out of sight out of mind i guess photos of the past only bring back memories im trying to forget.
