Picked up Half O of QLD's Finest

How are you guys judging what the pot looks like and the quality as you definitely can't tell from the pics the OP has posted here?

The resolution needs to be much higher to accurately speculate.
 
no wai man you know better. that's dense, red, and staulky. I can tell from here, no trim, it's KB, or whatever they call it wherever you're from. Better than mids, worse then headies.

No offence Chainer but I think I know just a little bit more about the commercial strains of Cannabis here in Australia than you do. Things are very different here.

There is no way of accurately telling the quality of the pot in that pic. How about a better pic OP?

Looks can be deciving sometimes xD
Ive gotten weed thats beautiful lime green buds frosted with crystals and smelled amazing
and the high was egh, its good but not as good as you'd expect from weed that looked like that

and then ive had weed that looks like mids/regs and was pretty decent
true with MOST weed you tell quality by looking at it, but hey, sometimes those sneaky buds trick you haha

im just saying is all

Didn't realize you were from Aus, I loose track of these things. If it were purchased in the US, that would be called KB from what I can tell, even if I couldn't see the color and guess density, the trim and staulk makes it look like no-name mid grade... I'm not sure how the headies market is in Aus, though from what I hear it is isn't very easy to get hydro or top grade... anything...


But you're right, there's no way to tell the quality besides a tri count, good pic, and smokin that shit.

It sounds like you trust the guy and half a gram really isn't a big deal depending on price. Its all relative but, I personally wouldn't care.

Not sure about Australian money but, in the US a nickel weighs exactly 5 grams. Weigh your coins and keep one on hand. In situations that weren't very friendly it has saved me some cash and questioning the scales calibration is a lot better than claiming to be ripped off. If you really know this dude I'd tell him that you were short. Most IME want repeat customers and should make up for it next time around. Be friendly yet professional and you'll get the respect and the weight to go with it.

The commy stuff is Aus is always dense and chunky and full of red hairs. This is because commercial growers use steroid like nutrients known as PGR's(plant growth regulator's) and this makes the buds become extremely dense.PGR's will fuck up the smell, taste and high of the buds along with crystal production. Even if the OP is saying the buds have a strong smell, I bet it's nothing compared to the smell of fresh homegrown buds.

BTW in the UK and US they've banned the use of PGR's.

I can tell by the photo's that those buds are dense and chunky as fuck and typically full of red hairs. IME with homegrown buds, even buds grown under 5000+ watt's of HPS wont nearly get as dense, unless you add a PGR to the mix.

When you compare the look of a nice homegrown bud to a bud that's had a PGR put through it there is a massive difference, over the years of smoking both commercial and homegrown you can easily pick the difference between the two.

I could smell it through my pants, wrapped in 2 baggies, and inside my pocket... even my brother commented when I came home "I smell dank"

Plus your post is extremely speculative.....some strands are naturally dense

Yes what strian is that , since the guy said he has seen the dudes growing setup then the dude must know what strain he is growing,and KB is the name of high grade buds aka headies in some places here in the US. In fact no one I know uses the term "headies" here or anywhere i have been ,KB to them = Kind Bud which usually is a high grade named strain..Strange how different places in the US have different terms for buds,and what means headies on place is the same as KB in another place for the same buds..We usually just call it by the strain name here,as the growers I know ,always keep track of what they are growing/selling by the strain name...
