I've got x100 0.9% saline solution(10ml) syringes for flushing and 5 picc lines.
How hard are these to set up your self? I would use my large vein near my wrist on the forearm with a leur lock needle tip and upon flagging use a piece of tape on the hand I used to insert the syringe to tape it into place and then re tape it some more (with medical tape). I'd then test the needle's placement with a small amount of saline and if all is well attach the leur lock from the picc line and run the line up my arm down from my arm pit and tape it to my stomach or inner thigh. While sitting at home ONLY. Otherwise it comes out.

As a crack head it seems like IV meth is the only thing that comes close to what I'm after. It burns all the way up my hand into my arm and burns BAD and as a 10+ year as a "doctor" for other users I know I ain't missing. No abscess and pain up the arm. Only met one other person that has this issue with IV meth use.

While a picc line wont make the pain any less bad, with a 1000cc syringe (10ml) it should be diluted enough to HELP as I sometimes quit half way through. (typically using 40cc of water for a 0.15g [filtered] shot).

Should I or is this just plain stupid.

I would be wary about doing that. PICC lines often get infected in hospitals, with doctors who are using aseptic techniques (ie gloves, iodine prior to the injection, sterile equipment).

Running one means you have to worry about the picc line site itself (as well as making sure the skin under the dressing is sterile) as well as the leur lock you will be injecting to.

It would also be in you much longer than normal IV use, increasing the risk of infections.

Could you possibly get off by smoking it?

I know at least 2 people who have done this, so I get what you’re trying to do. That said, I am in no position to judge or tell you yes or no to any decision. Just keep in mind that once you get to any form of IV, it’s not easy to come back from…be safe

It's honestly a bad idea. As mentioned above, the contamination risk is very high. Not to mention you'll be tempted to do it more because it's easier to inject into a port than have to search for a good spot every time.

yea and you need a chest xray to confirm that the picc line is in the superior vena cava - it's either gonna be there or in your neck and you wont know unless you see it

this is a horrible idea at best
