I get uncomfortable feelings in my stomach which make me want to take benzos or drink or both.
Often when I take a klonopin the feeling goes away.
Drinking doesn't really help.

This feeling started after I went through benzo withdrawal and had some pretty intense stomach pain. I was off benzos for awhile after that.

I'd like to take something stronger like Valium but my doctor won't prescribe anything but klonopin which helps but sometimes not enough. Really I'd like the feeling to go away not just lessen it.

Does anybody know anything about physical sensations relating to not having drugs?

If you've been taking Klonopin for a long time the feeling could definitely be a type of withdrawal, either mental or physical.
How much klonopin do you take? Are you taking the normal prescribed amount and you just feel like it's a safety net? Or do you need more and more to feel better?

It's more like a safety net right now. I take a 0.5 dose up to 3 times a day.
Some days I just wish I had more. It usually helps with the stomach feeling but it doesn't always make it go away completely.

Eh, your doctor likely has the right idea on keeping your doses low and keeping you on a long acting benzo. It sounds like your addiction wants more drugs, and if you want more drugs you surely can get them. Every choice is going to suck in some way. For your sake I hope you taper down and off the K-pins though.

That's a pretty low dose. I'm prescribed 1 mg 3 times a day although I probably only take 2mgs on most days and sometimes only even 1mg. I doubt you have a chemical dependence at that dose you probably just feel better knowing you have the pills. Do you think your doctor would be alarmed if asked for a higher dose? Or just said you didn't feel like they were effecting you anymore? I used to take what you're taking and I told my doctor that sometimes I found myself needing two pills instead of one and I'd be more comfortable if he would adjust the prescription instead of me just double dosing on my own. And he did with no problem. Although I think my psychiatrist might be a little more liberal with the meds than others.
